The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Jan. 28 – Feb. 4, 2021. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the fifth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Hit and Run -S Broad Street / 2nd Street: In reference to two vehicles making contact. One vehicle left the scene. Complianant still wanted a report. Report made.
Assault – West Spring Street (Piedmont Walton): Hospital staff advised of a patient that may have been assaulted. Spoke with patient, who stated that she was hanging out with people she just met somewhere in the city. She did not know any names or the exact location. Stated she took drugs willingly, and wanted to be checked by hospital staff for possible STD. Stated she did not want police help, and that the hospital called.
Suspicious vehicle – South Broad at South Madison in reference to a vehicle failing to maintain lane. Traffic stop was conducted, and the female driver was okey.
Dispute – West Spring Street at Piedmont Walton: Subject on location causing a disturbance, situation mediated.
Juvenile Complaint – S Broad St in reference to 12-year-old juvenile acting unruly against his mother. Situation mediated.
Civil Issue – Nowell St in reference to Complainant stating someone with the Walton County Animal Control kicked his dog while he was away from the residence.
Loud Music – Douglas St in reference to subject on location listing to music, he was asked to turn it down.
Traffic Offense -Magnolia St & Davis St. In reference to a Green Ford Escape stopped for Stopping in a roadway and a non-functioning headlight. Further investigation led to the arrest of the driver for driving under the influence – alcohol. He was released on copy of citation.
Dispute – West Spring Street in reference to a combative patient.
Dispute Non-Violent – W. Spring Street at Piedmont Walton. In reference to a male patient acting out right after officers left the area. Hospital staff advised all was okay prior to officers’ arrival.
EMS ASST – E. Marable St. – In reference to a 62-year-old male stating he could not feel his feet due to intoxication. Turned over to EMS.
Criminal Trespass – W. Spring Street – Subject arrested for Obstruction (M) after refusing to provide ID after manager wanted him criminally trespassed.
Damage to Property – E. Spring Street at Popeyes.- In reference to the drive thru sign being knocked over. Report taken.
Damage to Property – S. Broad St. in reference to complainant’s truck being hit while he was inside at Wal-Mart. Unknown vehicle or driver information. report was made.
Harassment – Creek View Court. Complainant reported her neighbor harassing her, remedies advised.
Suicide Threats – High School Avenue. Subject on location threatening to harm herself over video chat with counselor. Patient was turned over to EMS.
Burglary Attempt – Walton Road. In ref to damage on the front door and window screen. Complainant requested a report to be made for his landlord. Report taken
Dispute – Ridge Road at Walton Creative Learning. Dispute over child being unruly and kicked out of residence. Report taken.
Harassment – W. Spring Street at Home Depot. Complainant advised officer of a vehicle that was driving reckless in the Tractor Supply parking lot.
Dispute – Lacy St Complainant advised her and her brother were involved in an altercation. Day shift handled the report. Complainant was taken back to her residence.
Emergency Message – Tall Oaks E. In reference to a 4-year-old juvenile still on location at the Walton Creative Learning facility that closed at 1800 hours. Contact made with mother. All ok.
Dispute – E Church St. Jack Peters. In reference to a dispute between the complainant and boyfriend. Complainant advised that they are at Jack Peters. Due to insufficient probable cause no arrest was made. Report taken.
Wanted Person – W Spring St. Los 3 Amigos. In reference to the complainant advising that a subject was last seen sitting at the bar and possibly has a warrant for their arrest. Arrest was made but the subject was refused by the jail due to Covid-19 symptoms. She was then transported to her residence.
Dispute – Tangelwood Dr. In reference to the complainant advising that a female on location is threatening them. Verbal dispute. Remedies were advised and parties were separated without incident. All ok.
Dispute – Highland Ter. In reference to the complainant advising that their mother hit them and their mother’s boyfriend. The subject threw a bag at her daughter, making physical contact. She was arrested for Simple Battery (FV).
Suspicious Person – W Spring St. Waffle House. In reference to the complainant advising that they are an employee and there are 3-4 people trying to harm them. Denied all medical help.
EMS Assist – Turner St. In reference to an 83-year-old female unresponsive. EMS transported the patient to Piedmont Walton. Turned over to EMS. Report taken.
