MPD Reports: Assault, suicide attempts, entering autos and more domestic disputes dominate

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Oct. 12 – 18, 2018. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Unknown Problem, Rose Ison Terrace, complainant stated there was a verbal argument between her boyfriend and her 16-year-old daughter. She advised everything was okay and wouldn’t advise any further. The boyfriend was gone when officers arrived.
  • Shoplifting, West Spring St., Walmart, Christian Boyd was arrested for shoplifting. She was fingerprinted and taken to Walton County Jail.
  • Suicide Attempt, West Vine St., reference to male subject drinking laundry detergent. The subject was turned over to EMS.
  • Shoplifting, West Spring St., Walmart, reference to Sarah Mohammad, shoplifting. Mohammad was arrested and transported to MPD where she was fingerprinted and released on a copy of the citation.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Inheritage Park, the complainant advised a group of juvenile females damaged a window at the vacant residence in Inheritage Park. The females were located in Bridgeport and taken to their guardians. The owner of the residence could not be identified. Report was done for documentation.
  • Theft report, South Broad St., Monroe Police Depart., the complainant advised her cellphone went missing two or three days ago from High School Avenue. She could not provide a make or model. She requested a report.
  • Assault Report, Harris St., mother advised her 14-year-old daughter and a friend were solicited late Friday night by name given. CID was notified. Report taken.
  • Damage to Property, Plaza Dr., Ashton Pointe Apt., reference to subject having a tow dolly break while towing a vehicle. He advised the vehicle came off and damaged the curb and bushes. Report taken, subject advised of the civil procedure for reimbursement of his trailer and damage to his vehicle.
  • Assault, Cook Place, made contact with the complainant who stated around 0200 hours he got into an argument with six black males which lead to them jumping hiThe complainant was transported to Piedmont-Walton to get his left leg checked on due to pain. Report taken.
  • Escort complainant requested an escort to Tanglewood Dr to gather her belongings due to her and male subject having a dispute.  Items gathered without incident.
  • 911 Hang Up, Ash Lane, two subjects had a verbal disagreement over smoke in the residence from cooking.  One subject left.  All ok.
  • Suspicious Person, Church St., the officer noticed a black male walking on church street with a wooden post in what appeared to be an aggressive manner. I made contact with that subject who stated he picked the post up from the side of the road with no ill intentions, and that he is ok. Nothing further.
  • Suspicious Person, Charlotte Rowell Blvd., complainant advised that a white male was possibly arguing with a white female walking towards Broad of Education.
  • Meet With complainant, Tall Oaks West, reference to Walmart’s Pharmacy losing her prescription. Complainant requested a report.
  • Entering Auto, 3rd St., the complainant advised her Rose Gold IPhone 8 Plus was taken from her vehicle while parked behind the residence.  The phone was taken at approximately 1700 hours. Complainant did not have the serial number at the time of the call.  Report Taken.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Wheel House Lane, the complainant stated numerous juveniles were knocking on windows and throwing rocks. Conducted an area check with negative contact.
  • Dispute, Storehouse Court, complainant disputing with another female subject. Situation mediated, parties were separated.
  • Threats, Reed St., complainant stated that named subject had been stalking him and his soon to be ex-wife on this date.  He had text messages sent from a third party showing that subject knew where he had been on this date.  During the investigation, it was determined a crime had not taken place.  The complainant and soon to be ex-wife were given the details on the TPO process.  Report taken.
  • Suspicious Person, Sherwood Dr., complainant stated a named subject (Hispanic male) is possibly on location. Conducted an area check with negative contact.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, South Madison/Stokes St., Chevrolet Malibu unoccupied, blocking roadway.  No contact information for the registered owner.
  • Dispute, East Fambrough St., reference to Reggie Butler and a female subject involved in a physical altercation. Mr. Butler was arrested for FV Simple Battery.
  • Dispute, Morrow St., third party caller stated that two named subjects were in a dispute.  Upon Officers arrival parties on location advised it was a misunderstanding and everything was ok.  There was no evidence that a crime had taken place.
  • Theft, Radford St., complainant stated named female subject stole $5.00 off her debit card.  Female subject stated she gave her the money to use her debit card.
  • Dispute, Piedmont Walton, reference to hospital staff and father disputing about leaving while his juvenile child was there for a mental health evaluation. Situation mediated.
  • Suspicious Person, Bryant Rd., reference to a white male walking behind the residence.  The second night it occurred.  Requested extra patrol for hours 0200 to 0300.
  • Meet with Officer, Breedlove Dr., complainant stated she was scared she could not exit her residence. Complainant is elderly but coherent, the unit conducted an area check of her residence and all was okay.
  • Dispute, Cook St., complainant’s room-mates were complaining about his bills.  They were given suggested remedies. Complainants advised of the eviction process.
  • Warrant Served, Mr. Dexter Foster was arrested at the Barrow County Jail and transported to the Walton County Jail without incident.
  • Domestic Dispute, Shamrock Dr., complainant stated that named female violated a DFACS safety plan. Report made All ok.
  • Stolen Vehicle, South Broad St., Monroe PD. Met with complainant with Hitachi Corporation. Wanted to report a stolen vehicle from the company. Report made
  • Dispute, Storehouse Ct., the complainant advised a female at Storehouse Court had pulled a knife on her, but the female was no longer on location.  The complainant had a witness that was confronted by her own sister in an aggressive manner the ultimately turned physical in my presence.  Jasmine Oneal resisted arrest after striking her sister.  She was placed under arrest after being tased.  Warrants were secured for Jasmine Oneal.  Oneal was transported to Walton County Jail without incident.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, East Church/South Hammond, reference to a red Cadillac failure to maintain lane. Made contact with the driver who was ok.
  • Dispute, Perry St., reference to a black female names given coming to the location and accusing the kids of stealing bikes. The female subject was gone when officers arrived.
  • Drug Sales, Lacy St./Pine Park St., reference to several subjects in the area selling Marijuana. Area check completed no persons in that area and no specific description. The caller did not want to meet.
  • Suspicious vehicle, S. Madison Ave., Green van with doors open and juveniles near the doors.  The vehicle was leaving the area with an unknown direction of travel per the complainant.  Negative contact.
