MPD Reports: Brick thrown at car, juvenile won’t clean room, irate son and other domestic disputes

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period April 30 – May 7, 2020. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Mental Patient – Davis St; Mother stated her daughter was off her mental health medication and acting out. The daughter was gone on arrival. 
  • Dispute – W. Creek Cir. / Ash Ln; Complainant reported her ex-boyfriend throwing a brick at her vehicle while she was driving causing damage to her vehicle. Warrants to be taken for terroristic threats, and criminal trespass.
  • Dispute – S. Side Mobile Home Park. in reference to son becoming irate and causing a scene. He was gone when officers arrived and a report was made for documentation.
  • Disturbing the Peace – In reference to a large party on Tall Oaks Lane. Party was dispersed.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – S. Broad St. reference to a silver SUV parked in front of a closed business. Contact made with the driver. Probable Cause search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of narcotics and drug-related objects.
  • Domestic dispute – S. Side Mobile Home Park. Reference to Complainant and girlfriend arguing over ownership of Blue Dodge Charger. Situation mediated.
  • Dispute – New Lacy St.; Complainant was arguing with the subject over him coming home late. The complainant damaged her own property before the subject returned home. Situation mediated.
  • Traffic Stop – in reference to a suspicious vehicle at closed businesses at Great Oaks Plaza. A stop was made and the driver arrested for possession of meth, cocaine, firearm during the commission of a felony, and driving under the influence.
  • EMS Assist – Carwood Dr. in reference to the complainant did not know if the subject was breathing. Turned over to EMS.
  • Theft Report – W. Spring St. – Meet with the complainant about a stolen gun (SN: 888218). He believes a subject may have taken the gun. The report was taken and the firearm was placed on GCIC.
  • Welfare Check-in area of McDaniel St. and Woodland Rd. in reference to a male sitting beside the road at the entrance to Woodland neighborhood. Made contact with the subject, all ok. Resides in the neighborhood.
  • Speeding – Hwy 78 @ 138 Bridge Black Ford SUV Citation issued 83/55
  • Speeding – Hwy 78 @ Marable St Bridge Green Toyota SUV Citation issued 84/55
  • Juvenile – Carver Place in reference to a 13-year-old is refusing to clean her room. The complainant wanted to know where was the juvenile courts so she can get some help with her granddaughter.
  • Suspicious Person – King St. Reference to a Black female walking into a residence without permission. Units made contact with the subject. The subject was having a medical emergency. Patient care was turned over to EMS.
  • Hit and Run – Towler St. & S. Madison. Female mental health patient rear-ended Chevy Trailblazer and fled the scene. Unable to locate Trailblazer. Report was taken.
  • Damage to property – Church’s Chicken. In reference to a Camper style bus striking the awning and causing damage. report was taken
  • Warrant Service – Tanglewood. In reference to an arrest warrant for the sale of marijuana. Resulted in a search warrant executed at the location. 5 arrested.
  • Burglary – Tanglewood. In reference to complainant coming home to find someone had broken into her house and taken items. Report was taken.
  • Follow-up – Plaza Dr. In reference to Tavaris Latimore’s vehicle being spotted on location. A knock and talk conducted and he was taken into custody for multiple felony warrants.
