MPD Reports: Christmas gifts stolen from Monroe ministry

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Dec. 12 – 19, 2019. Due to the length, this report was split into four parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Suspicious Vehicle – Arcadia Ct – Vehicle was parked in front of the complainant’s house. Officer was able to get in contact with the owner who advised her nephew had her car and that she would tell him he needed to come get it. 
  • Dispute – Birch St. – A couple were in a verbal domestic dispute. Parties agreed to get along for the rest of the night and male would move out in the morning.
  • Found property – Old Mill Point. Complainant found possible narcotics. Complainant believed her grandson was in possession of illegal narcotics. Items were identified as ibuprofen. All okay.
  • Juvenile complaint – Old Mill Point. Complainant stated subject had locked himself in the bathroom and was banging his head on the wall refusing to go to school. Officers spoke to subject who was just upset with the way his grandmother was treating him. Subject was given a ride to Carver Middle School. All okay.
  • Dispute – S. Broad St. Subject on location disputing with his wife and step-daughter. Situation mediated. Report taken.
  • Mental Subject – E. Church St., Jack Peters. Subject on location outside yelling. Could not find proof that subject was served with a Criminal Trespass warning. The complainant declined re- service. Subject left without issue.
  • Request to meet – Richard Parsons Dr., Monroe Airport. Delta Airlines requesting officer on location while plane lands, all ok.
  • Warrant attempt – S. Madison Ave. While looking for Lacy Jackson who had an MPD warrant who was already incarcerated, a Rodney Scarborough was arrested for a Jackson County SO warrant and Brooklyn Danielle Hicks was arrested for a WCSO warrant and DOC.
  • Theft report – Douglas St. Complainant stated her mail keeps being delivered to her neighbors’ residence and believes her neighbor is not giving her, her mail. Neighbor stated any mail she receives that does not belong to her; she sends back to the post office. Report taken.
  • Follow up – Richard Parsons Dr., Monroe Airport. Ref to Delta flight departing.
  • Suspicious Person – E. Church St. in reference to a B/M in a red shirt screaming and yelling. Officer made contact with subject. He was told to go home.
  • Juvenile Transport – Old Mill Point – Juvenile was determined to be in foster care and given a ride from the complainants’ residence to Walton County DFACS, per DFACS and juveniles request.
  • Follow up – Meadow View Dr – Subject was wanting to know if his aunt was going to kick him out of the house and wanted to speak with officer and was advised that he would be back at work Friday morning.
  • Domestic Dispute – Baker Street – Subject was arrested for Simple Battery (Family Violence Act) against her boyfriend.
  • Assault – Piedmont Walton – Assault occurred in the county and was turned over to Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Shots Fired – Ash St – Caller advised their house had been shot.
  • Shooting – Ash St. – In reference to standing by while Criminal Investigation Division processes scene.
  • Missing Juveniles – Green St.: In reference to two juveniles were missing. Complainant stated she located them in the residence before Law Enforcement arrival. All okay.
  • Found Property – S. Hammond Dr. in reference Jason Fox finding an envelope containing funds. There was an address of N. Midland Ave. listed on the envelope in which I attempted to make contact with but had negative contact. There was an Align Realty sign in the front yard in which I made contact with and had contact with staff who advised the envelope belonged to them for rent payment. The envelope was turned over to Align Realty at N. Broad St.
  • Attempt to locate – W. Spring St. in reference to locating a subject wanted in questioning for stolen vehicles by Morgan County S/O. Negative contact.
  • Assault – W. Spring St. (Piedmont Walton Medical Center in reference to subject stating he was assaulted by Pharmacy Manager at Walmart white attempting to retrieve his meds. Watch the video footage of the incident and no assault occurred. Report made for complainant.
  • Assault – W. Spring St. (Piedmont Walton Medical Center): In reference to a subject getting hit in the nose by a relative in the County. Turned over to WCSO.
  • 911 Hang Up – Davis St. in reference to a complainant and a subject being involved in a physical altercation. He was not on location. Report made, Warrant to be taken.
  • Theft report – S. Madison Ave / Miracle Deliverance Ministries; The complainant reported 12 bags containing various toys donated by toys for tots were stolen sometime between 12/14/19 and today. Have a possible suspect. (We have been unable to find out at this time if the toys were located and the suspect arrested. We will update when we are able so)
  • Suspicious Person/ Arrest – Conestoga. While conducting an area check officers located a subject sitting in his vehicle drinking beer. He was arrested for loitering and open container.
  • Traffic Stop / Arrest – A subject was stopped for window tint and arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Probation Warrants.
  • Dispute – Magnolia Tr. The homeowner advised her grandson was refusing to leave. Upon arrival. Parties separated
