MPD Reports: Complaint of man urinating on drinks at convenience store, another for exposing himself

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Aug. 8 – 15, 2019. Due to the length, it has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • EMS Assist – S. Madison Ave.: In reference to the subject being in hospice care with a Do Not Resuscitate in place. Report taken. 
  • Suspicious Person – S. Broad St.-Mgr. Office: Complainant said she was getting her mail and a white male (height: short, short brown hair, blue pants, tan shoes) appeared from behind the mailboxes and exposed himself. She did not recognize or know him. Requested extra patrol.
  • Meet With – S. Madison Ave.: In reference to complainant received a message stating that if doesn’t call the number back an arrest warrant would be issued. The complainant wanted MPD to be aware.
  • Dispute – Carver Pl. – In reference to complainant getting into a dispute with a female. Would not cooperate and refused assistance.
  • Assault – S. Broad St.: In reference to complainant getting into an altercation at Da-Grand with a subject last date. Report taken.
  • Burglary – S. Broad St.: In reference to someone breaking into complainants’ residence at Windsor Drive taking several items. Report taken.
  • Dispute – Hwy 78: Subject was terminated due to selling marijuana in the parking lot and the manager wanted officers on standby.
  • Comments: Extra Patrol Southside Mobile Home Park reference a white male, short brown hair, tan shoes, blue pants, dark shirt and short in stature. The male allegedly exposed himself.
  • Extra patrol at the Waffle House at the Truck Stop due to subject that was terminated today but keeps returning on location. Advised to call police if he returns and if the manager would like we can trespass him.
  • Dispute – S. Broad St.: Complainant wanted subject to leave the store. Subject was told to leave.
  • Dispute – Knight St.: Hodges wanted to retrieve property. The homeowner was not home. Advised he could call back later.
  • Welfare Check – Breedlove Dr.: Complainant called reference a comment subject made on social media. Spoke with subject who is an employee at Ridgeview. Said she does not feel that she wants to hurt herself. Advised of remedies.
  • Theft – MPD – In reference to complainant buying a vehicle which had a lean on it.
  • Follow Up – Wheelhouse Lane: Attempted to make contact with a subject due to seeing the gold explorer on location. Negative contact.
  • Fight – Old Mill Pointe: In reference to a group of juveniles fighting. Negative contact.
  • Meet With – Monroe Motor Inn; Subject was provided a room by FISH. She will follow up with FISH tomorrow for further assistance.
  • 10-65 vehicle – E. Washington St. at S. Broad St. In reference to red mustang with flat tire blocking the entrance. The vehicle moved to a parking space by the driver.
  • Theft report – MPD Parking lot. The complainant stated she left her purse in a shopping cart at Walmart. When she went back to get it someone had already taken it. Report taken.
  • Runaway Juvenile – Stewart Ct. Complainant called in reference to her daughter leaving with friends when she was told not to. She believed she was going to a friend’s house by a named subject. The officer was able to get an address for the subject and had Gwinnett County respond in order to conduct a welfare check. The daughter was located at the residence. A little while later the daughter flagged down an Officer at Monroe Police Department to report child abuse. She stated her father had choked her during a dispute. No markings were located on daughter consistent with being choked. The officer went back to Stewart Court to further the investigation. Due to the allegation’s Criminal Investigations Division and DFACS were notified. Report taken.
  • Dispute – Wheel House Ln. Caller advised of people in the area fighting. Conducted an area check no one was fighting at this time.
  • Suspicious Person – Library. An anonymous caller stated a male in a white vehicle was acting suspiciously. Officer patrolled the area and had negative contact with any vehicle matching the description.
  • Fight – Wheel House Ln. Caller advised that 40 to 50 people on location fighting. No active fight upon arrival. Conducted an area check due to a large group of people on location.
  • Mental Patient – W. Marable; Subject was not taking his mental health medication and was involved in a dispute with his grandmother. The subject refused medical treatment.
  • Dispute – Chestnut Cupboard. Male on location peeing on the drinks. Male was gone on arrival. Conducted an area check no contact.
  • Suicide Attempt – Radford St. 3rd party caller advised of a male on location intoxicated and taking medication trying to kill himself. EMS made contact with the male on the front porch, scene was turned over to EMS.
