MPD Reports: Dispute on school bus, domestic disputes and juvenile problems

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Nov. 9 – 15, 2018. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Dispute, Tanglewood Dr., complainant advised named male subject came over uninvited trying to get her to come outside.  Male subject was gone when officers arrived.  All ok.
  • Meet with Officer, Piedmont Walton -Nurse requested Officers escort male subject from the premises after being discharged. Male subject was taken to his brother’s residence on South Broad St. without incident.
  • Damage Property, Pine Knoll St. complainant stated that a man tried to make entry though his bedroom window. Subject had dark clothing on. Report made.
  • Mental Patient, Pine Knoll St., complainant stated that a subject from earlier was on the side of his residence. He advised that the subject was whistling for his dog. I talked with his spouse all she heard was limbs hitting the roof of the house and just woke up
  • Harassment, North Board St., met with the complainant in reference to a customer that keeps coming into the store, causing a scene and using profanity. Complainant wants him to be criminal trespass. Customer was gone before officer arrived.
  • Dispute, Baker St., met with Ms. Thomas the complainant who wanted two named subjects to be put out of the residence. He is the only one on the lease. I advised them the necessary steps to take to have them evicted out legally.
  • Lost or Misplace Keys, West Spring St., met with the complainant who stated that he doesn’t know where he placed his keys. I advised him on remedies.
  • Mental Subject, Perry St., met with the complainant who stated that her son was not responding to his meds. Turned over to Med.
  • Damage to property, Walton Village, complainant’s car was leaking gas. Not sure if someone punctured it or if the gas tank was damaged while driving it. She was advised on remedies.
  • Agency assist, Walton County Sheriff’s Office was chasing on foot with subject in Tanglewood.  Monroe conducted a K9 track to Green Acres where the track was turned over to WCSO.  All other units assisted with perimeter.
  • Dispute, North Madison Ave., reference to complainant wanting to report a dispute and a fraud that occurred on 11/09/2018. report taken
  • Damage to Property, Wal-Mart, complainant advised she arrived at work at 1400 hours.  When she went on break at 1800 hours, she observed damage to her back bumper.  The damage is consistent with a truck hitting her vehicle.  Report Taken
  • Suspicious Person, East Church St., reference to an unknown white male subject asking people for narcotics. Conducted an area check for the subject with negative contact.
  • Found Property, Wal-Mart, while officer was on another call a customer approached with a wallet she had found.  With the help of dispatch, the officer was able to locate the owner and return the wallet.
  • Damage to Property, Red Oak Court, complainant called in reference to his ex-girlfriend Victoria Batchelor on scene damaging his vehicle. Batchelor was arrested for criminal damage to property. DFACs also contacted due to verbal abuse to a juvenile child.
  • Loitering, East Spring, reference to Mr. Gregory Wiggins bothering customers. Mr. Wiggins was arrested for Loitering.
  • Suspicious Persons, 4th St., reference to 2 white males and 2 black males being on location in the back yard. Area check conducted, negative contact.
  • Welfare Check, Wal-Mart, reference to OnStar getting an emergency alarm from a red Chevrolet Cruse.  Officer patrolled the parking lot and had negative contact with the vehicle.
  • Prowler, Towler St., caller stated a person was running in the parking lot around vehicles. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Prowler, Heritage Ridge Court, complainant stated he heard two subjects walking around his residence, he attempted to confront them, and they fled towards Wellington Subdivision. Conducted an area check with negative contact with the subjects or evidence of any entered autos.
  • Theft, Bryant Rd., complainant believes named male subject took $20 out of her wallet on Wednesday November 7, 2018. Report taken.
  • Dispute, North Broad St., Deer Acres Inn, reference to female subject disputing with management. The situation was mediated.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Alcovy St., reference to hearing someone revving an engine. Negative contact.
  • Criminal Trespass, Baker St., Manager was needing named male subject to be criminally trespassed from the property in reference to a theft. Subject was not on location. Manager was advised to call back when he was present.
  • Fraud, North Broad St., Baldpates General Contracting, complainant advised an unknown person hacked the company email and sent a fake invoice to Pinnacle Bank in Social Circle Georgia in the amount of 36,000.00.  Report taken.
  • Dispute, Baker St., Civil dispute between two subjects about living arraignments. Eviction process was explained. All ok.
  • EMS Assist, Pinecrest Dr., reference to an elderly female face down outside her residence. Elderly female was found DOA. CID and Coroner notified and responded.
  • Extra Patrol, Arnold Pointe/Plaza Dr., reference to a possible fight on the school bus.  Officer contacted several subjects disputing about an altercation that had already taken place on the school bus. The Officer spoke with the WCSO-SRO who was already aware of the incident.
  • Suspicious Activity, East Church St., reference to Officer locating an open back window at the vacant residence while conducting an area check. The remainder of the residence was found to be secure with no evidence of entry. The Real Estate Company was notified by dispatch.
  • Unknown Problem on Carwood Dr., reference to subjects disputing over the earlier school bus incident. The subjects were advised the WCSO-SRO was handling the incident.
  • EMS Assist, West Spring St., reference to a white male unconscious in the middle of the roadway of the West Spring Street exit ramp from HWY 78 east. Stephen Powell was arrested for impeding traffic, possession of marijuana less than one ounce, possession of schedule II, drugs not in original container, possession of drug related objects.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Tall Oaks, reference to the complainant’s daughter refusing to go to school. Juvenile got on the bus prior to arrival. ok
  • Domestic Dispute, Heritage Ridge Dr., reference to complainant having a dementia episode. The situation was mediated.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Highway, Unisia Dr., reference to a burgundy Nissan Pathfinder driving reckless.  Negative contact.
  • Warrant Served, Alcovy St. Georgia Probation Management, reference to Theresa Force on location with a warrant. Theresa Force was placed under arrest and transported to the Walton Co. Jail without incident. Report taken.3
