The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Jan. 28 to Feb. 4, 2021. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the fourth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Harassment – Pine Knoll. In reference to ex-boyfriend harassing the complainant via facebook. Complainant was advised of remedies.
Dispute – Glen Iris Drive In reference to complainant getting into an argument with ex-boyfriend over possibly cheating. Situation mediated parties separated. Subject left the residence with all his personnel belongings. Report made.
Shoplifting – West Spring Street (Quality Foods); Female subject arrested for shoplifting. Subject was arrested, fingerprinted, and released on a copy of the citation.
Wanted Person – 2nd Street (Agriculture Interior Mill Work) In reference to a subject having an active warrant out of Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office. Taken into custody without incident.
Suspicious Person – Maple Street in reference to finding subject inside of complainants’ vehicle at the above address. Report taken.
Juvenile Complaint – South Broad Street (UMC): In reference subject possible going around asking money. Contact made at Walgreens. Subject was sent on his way.
Juvenile complaint – old Court House on South Broad Street a black male juvenile asking for money. Made contact with the juvenile and sent him home. His probation officer was contacted.
Civil Matter – Lakeview Drive: In reference to subject trying to retrieve some items. Other subject disputed over the items. Subject was explained the Civil Process.
Property Damage – Colquit Street in reference to complainants’ vehicle was damage sometime last night.
Civil Issue – 3rd street: In reference to a dispute over child custody. Situation mediated, parties separated and referred to proper courts.
Juvenile Complaint – S Broad Street in reference to the complainant’s son was being unruly and abusive towards her. Juvenile Courts were contacted, and the juvenile was released to his mother.
Civil Issue – N Broad St. Complainant wanting to report his vehicle stolen. He gave possession of the vehicle, to include keys, with an unknown individual somewhere in Loganville. Remedies advised.
Dispute -Towler St & Camptown Gardens. Subject stating that other subject would not allow him to stay in her home, after paying the “light bill” Other subject was not on location. Remedies advised.
Traffic Offense – Alcovy St & Ammons Bridge. Reference a red ford expedition stopped for a non- functioning headlight. Probable cause search due to open container. Subjects turned over to Joint Ops
Traffic Offense – S Broad St & Walton Mills. Subject stopped for tag lights. She had warrants out of Walton County Sheriff’s Office and was taken into custody.
Dispute – McDonald’s – Complainant on location causing a disturbance over a wrong order. Situation mediated.
Suspicious vehicle – S Broad St in reference to a PT Cruiser was parked in the employee parking space. The manager was advised they could call their own wrecker company due to it was on private property.
Harassment – West Marable Street: Complainant advised that a tall B/M has come to her residence twice in the past couple days. She does not know who he is and has been told that he is mentally handicapped. Requested extra patrol at night.
Dispute – Atha Street in reference to a verbal argument between girlfriend and boyfriend. All okay.
