MPD Reports: Dog allegedly poisoned; Driver transported for medical reasons after driving erratically

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Jan. 21 – 28, 2021. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Civil Matter – West Spring Street Complainant wanting a police escort to her Father’s residence at Armistead Circle. Complainant has power of attorney for her Father and needed to retrieve items from the residence and was in fear of Father’s girlfriend causing trouble. Complainant fears that the girlfriend will steal items from the residence when she is evicted on 01/29/2021. Report requested. 

Warrant Service – Cook Place -Assisted CID and Joint Ops in serving an arrest warrant for a subject. He was located and placed under arrest. 

Dispute – East Spring Street Two parties involved in a verbal disagreement about paying for the hotel room. One complainant got her own room. Situation mediated. 

Traffic Stop -Midland Ave / West Marable Street: Vehicle with an expired tag. Driver had no valid driver’s license. Release on copy of citations. Vehicle towed by Jay’s. Report made. 

Other Law – Oakland Ridge: Complainant reporting that his dog was poisoned and passed away. 

Traffic Violation – S Broad @ Chevron. Traffic stop for obstructed rear window. A subject was arrested for possession of ecstasy. 

Mental Person – E Church St In reference to subject having a mental episode due to him smoking synthetic Marijuana. The CareTaker was advised of Remedies. 

Child Custody – W Spring St Mother not meeting father with their child; father has court papers. Report for documentation requested. 

Traffic Offense – Pine Park St & Mears St. Traffic stop for running a stop sign. Subject was arrested for possession of marijuana less than 1 oz. Mr. Wycoff released on copy of citation. 

Traffic Offense -E Fambrough St & S Madison Ave – two people were stopped for brake light requirements, one was arrested for possession of Meth. 

Traffic Offense- E Washington St & S Madison Ave. Traffic stop for failure to maintain lane. Driver was arrested for driving under the influence, driving without a license and failure to maintain lane. 

Civil Dispute – Walker Drive Complainant wanting a report in reference to a generator he left at the residence a month ago, now missing. Not able to speak with the subjects at Walker Drive. 

Suspicious vehicle – HWY 138 near HD Atha. Jeep Cherokee was failing to maintain lane. Traffic stop was conducted. Subject was transported by EMS for medical reasons. 

Reckless Driving – Holly Hill Rd: In reference to a vehicle driving recklessly though the neighborhood. Complanant wanted the incident to be document. Report made. 

Damage to property – Tall Oaks Lane in reference to damage to a vehicle. Unknown time or place of damage.
