MPD Reports: Driver charged with felony fleeing, DUI, more after leading police on high speed chase over 115 mph

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Oct. 17 – 23, 2025. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

• Suspicious Vehicle – E Spring St; Valero – In reference to an anonymous complainant calling about an older model Maroon Minivan on location occupied by a black male subject and a white female juvenile. The complainant was concerned that the male was using drugs. Area check was conducted, with negative contact.
• Disturbing the Peace – E. Church St; Chestnut Cupboard- Clerk called in reference to multiple subjects loitering in the parking lot, subjects were sent on their way.
• Suspicious Vehicle – S Broad St; Walgreen’s – In reference to a vehicle parked near the entrance of the closed business. The vehicle was unoccupied. The business was checked on foot; all appeared ok.
• Alarm – S Broad St; Dollar General – Business checked on foot. All ok.
• Damage to Property – Ford St.- Private property collision between a red Chevy GMT-400 and a parked/unoccupied white Honda Accord. GEARS report.
• Damage to Property – Forest St- Reference to an unknown subject who slashed the complainants tire. Occurred sometime between 0300-0800 hours. Ring doorbell but does not reach the roadway
• Loud Music – Douglas St – Subject agreed to turn music down.
• Juvenile Complaint – Fawnfield Dr. – In reference to complainant concerned about her juvenile cousin’s behavior. Complainant had custody of said juvenile and stated she has been acting out and may run away. The juvenile was spoken with and agreed not to do so. Remedies advised.
• Dispute – Ridge Road – In reference to a dispute between subject and her husband. Report taken.
• Extra Patrol – Bryant Rd. – area checked, all OK.
• Child Custody – E Marable St. – In reference to a dispute between two subjects regarding visitation. The situation was mediated and it was agreed one would take one of the two juveniles until 1700 hours per the court order.
• Extortion – W Spring St. – SCI Roofing Company – In reference to complainant stating that subject told him he would notify the insurance commissioner of fraudulent activity if he didn’t give him 25,000 dollars. Report taken.
• Alarm – Spring St – All Ok on location.
• Found Property – Wayne St. / W Spring St. – In reference to a found wallet. The wallet was returned to its owner.
• Lockout – Pavilion parkway- vehicle unlocked, no damage
• Agency Assist/Stolen Vehicle – Walton Road and E Marable St – In reference to locating a stolen vehicle. Turned over to Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
• Vehicle Unlock – W Spring St; Walmart – Vehicle unlocked with no damage.
• Traffic stop – E Spring St / Ford St – In reference to stopping a named subject for a suspended tag and No Insurance. The subject was cited for driving with No Insurance. Vehicle turned over to Taylor’s Wrecker Service.
• Suspicious vehicle – Pine Park St. @ Lacy St.- All vehicles were on one side of the roadway. There were only five vehicles in the roadway, and the rest were parked in the yards of the residences.
• Suspicious Vehicle – N Broad St; Quality Inn – In reference to a Dodge Ram on location with a possible intoxicated driver. Area checked negative contact.
• Loud Music – Sycamore Ct – In reference to subjects having a small gathering on Sycamore Ct. The resident turned the music down. All ok.
• EMS Assist – Fambrough Way – In reference to complainant advising that her daughter run over her foot with her vehicle while she was retrieving her belongings from the rear seat of daughter’s vehicle. Complainant was checked on scene by EMS and declined transport.
• Vehicle Pursuit – HWY 138 at Michael Etchison Rd. – In reference to Officer observing a Blue/Green GMC Yukon traveling at a high rate of speed in a 45 MPH zone while failing to maintain lane. The officer attempted to perform a traffic stop on the vehicle when the vehicle increased speeds and a vehicle pursuit ensued. The vehicle reached speeds of 115 plus while passing other vehicles on the roadway. A PIT maneuver was used to stop the fleeing vehicle. The driver was taken into custody for Felony Fleeing, DUI Less Safe, Reckless Driving, obstruction of officer and other traffic related charges. Report completed, Warrants to be taken.
