The City of Monroe Police Department is reporting the following incidents for the period Dec. 3 – 10, 2020. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the fifth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Deer in Roadway -McDaniel Rd / Woodland Rd: In reference to a deer carcass in the roadway. The Deer was removed from the roadway.
Assault – Carwood Complainant stated that her Aunt was assaulted by her boyfriend. Report made.
Wanted Person – Alcovy Street – Subject arrested on Violation Of Probation warrant.
Injured Animal -McDaniel St/Woodland Rd -Deer near roadway struck by vehicle, the deer was put down.
Mental Patient – West Spring Street (Piedmont Walton): mental patient trying to leave the hospital. All okay.
Mental person – East Marable Street (Marable Manor) Street 55-year-old female that does not want to be in the group home. Turned over to EMS
Dispute – Heritage Trace: No dispute occurred, subject with mental health issues.
Other Law – South Broad Street ongoing issue with juveniles taking bikes from the complainant’s property. Civil process was explained, and remedies were given.
Dispute – Green Street Subject on location intoxicated and disputing with unknown subjects in the street. Subject advised he was returning home to Commerce.
Assault – New Lacy Street: a dispute on location. Subjects uncooperative with law enforcement. No assault occurred.
Dispute – Hubbard Street: in reference to male and female disputing over wallet. Wallet returned to owner. Parties separated.
Suspicious person – East Marable Street a male subject walking on East Marable Street. Negative contact
Dispute – West Spring Street (Murphy USA): In reference to a disgruntled patron. The patron was gone before Law Enforcement arrival. The complainant was advised to call if the patron arrives back on location
Harassment – Plaza Drive Complainant was complaining about her husband keeps calling her after they broke up. She is going to get a Temporary Protection Order tomorrow.
Suspicious Person – Blaine St. In reference to a person on top of The Bridge of Georgia school building. Subject was servicing HVAC. All OK.
Suspicious Person – N Broad St & E Marable St in reference to white jeep driving on the sidewalk. Made contact with driver.
Suspicious Vehicle – N Broad St (Deer Acres) In reference to a white male who appeared unconscious in the driver sear of a running vehicle. Further investigation led to arrest for Possession of methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana less than 1 oz, & Possession of Drug related objects.
Suspicious Vehicle – S Madison Ave (Felker Park) parked vehicle in the park after hours. Driver was advised of park hours.
Traffic Offense -S Madison & Mill. Traffic stop for distracted driving. Subject was arrested for DUI drugs and released on copy.
Animal Complaint – South Madison Avenue to a bat flying in the residence harassing a newborn. Bat was terminated.
Discharging Firearms – Hickory Drive several shots heard in the area. Area was searched with negative contact.
Damage to Property – Hickory Drive the residence being shot multiple times. Scene was processed by CID.
Suspicious person – Davis St. and Pine Park St. Ref to a b/m stopping cars and asking for money. Area searched with negative contact.
Fraud – South Broad St. and Court St. Complainant reports fraud on a Target gift card. Report taken.
Dispute – West Spring St., Shoe Depot. Staff arguing with customer over correct change. Both parties were mediated, separated. All ok.
