MPD Reports: DUI arrests, belligerent child and arrests for aggravated assault and battery

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Feb. 18 – 25, 2021. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Unknown Law – Birch Street: Subject in a verbal dispute with his nephew over money and property. Parties were separated, and all ok. 

Juvenile Complaint – Ridge Rd -Complainant advised her 12-year-old child was being belligerent. 

Dispute – Glen Iris Dr – Two were involved in a physical dispute. A female subject was arrested for Battery FV. 

Offense – S Broad St & Walker St. Traffic stop for failure to maintain lane. The driver was arrested for DUI Drugs, Possession Schedule II, Drug Related objects, Prescriptions not in original container. 

Aggravated Assault – Davis St -While investigating call 17, it was determined that two related men were involved in a physical altercation involving weapons. One was arrested for aggravated assault. 

Theft – West Marable Street. Complainant was not on location and advised they would meet with officers another time. 

Other Law -Norris Street: the complainant wanting a family gun ran on GCIC to see if the weapon was stolen. All Okay. 

Other Law -Store House Ct daughter leaving the residence without permission. Daughter was located back at the residence. All okay. 

Traffic Stop – Union Street: In reference to a male subject having active warrants out of Walton County and observed driving his chevy s-10. He was stopped, arrested, and transported to the jail. 

Vehicle Accident – West Spring Street in reference to a vehicle accident. The driver was placed under arrest for DUI Less Safe, Possession of Schedule I, Driving while unlicensed and No proof of insurance. 

Child Custody Dispute – Turner Street: In reference to the Father of juvenile picking him up from babysitter while Mother was not home. The juvenile returned to the residence prior to officer arrival. Mother and Father advised to get a court order in place for visitation. All ok. 

Dispute – West Marable Street Two parties disputing and one refusing to leave. Both subjects had contradicting testimonies over the events. 

Threats – West Spring Street: Walmart Complainant with questions regarding a previous incident in the county. Remedies advised. 

Assault – W Spring St. Reference to Hospital staff reporting that a patient stated he had been in a fight at a Mexican restaurant. The patient denied any altercation. No crime reported. All ok.
