The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Dec. 17 – 24, 2020. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the first part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Lost Property – Claywill Cir in reference subject claimed his wife lost her license plate. The license plate was placed on GCIC as a lost tag.
Follow Up – South Broad in reference to subject wanted to make a report of a hit and run that occurred on 12/15/20. Supplemental report was completed.
Harassment – Lake View Dr: In reference to ex-boyfriend driving by the residence of the complainant.
EMS Assist – West Spring Street; Piedmont Walton in reference to an unruly patient. Call canceled prior to arrival.
Hit-and-Run – North Broad Street and East Marable Street in reference to two vehicles in a rear end collision. Report declined.
Juvenile Complaint – Meadowbrook Drive in reference to a mother taking a phone from her son. All okay.
Prowler – Ramesh Lane in reference to 14-year-old hearing noises outside the residence and believing someone was in the home. Residence was cleared, all okay.
Dispute – South Broad Street; CVS in reference to two males disputing in the parking lot. All okay.
Threats – West Spring Street; Piedmont Walton in reference to an unruly patient making threats towards staff and refusing to be seen. Subject was located at Walmart.
Suspicious Person – West Spring Street; Benchmark PT in reference to a white male acting suspicious in the parking lot and appeared to be intoxicated. Contact made with subject inside Walmart who was under the influence of narcotics. Subject was given a courtesy ride to Piedmont Walton to be mentally evaluated.
Suspicious Vehicle – South Madison Avenue and Mill Street in reference to a vehicle in the parking lot. Repossession company on location. all ok
Suspicious Vehicle – Pine Park Street Cemetery in reference to a vehicle parked in the cemetery. Reference to subject on location. Visiting mothers grave all ok.
Suspicious Vehicle – Hwy 138 & Hwy 78 in reference to a vehicle driving on the wrong side of the road, area checked, no contact. Walton County Sheriff’s Office advised.
Dispute – S Madison Ave in reference to a subject stating her daughter won’t return paper documents. Remedies advised.
Disturbing Peace – Towler St in reference to neighbors being loud, area checked, no contact.
Prowler – Gliding Ln in reference to noises coming from backyard, area checked, all ok
Theft Report – Tanglewood Drive. Complainant reported his EBT card had not come in the mail yet. Complainant was advised to contact DFACS to find out when the card will be delivered.
Assault Report – Plaza Drive In ref to complainant advising of an incident that occurred three weeks ago between her ex-boyfriend and her. Report taken
Scam – Fawnfield Dr. Complainant reported receiving a scam call about accessing her online banking profile through cloud based software. No money taken, report completed.
Harassment – Michael Etchison Road. In reference to complainant wanting to file a report about a subject coming to her job asking to see her. Report taken.
Reckless Driving – M.L.K. JR Blvd., Dunkin Donuts. In ref to a blue and red Chevy truck doing donuts in the parking lot. Contact was made with subjects and they were advised to stop. All ok.
Suspicious Person – Claywill Circle. In reference to people ringing door bells. It was discovered to be persons asking about the election, all ok.
Suicide Threat – W Spring St. Home Depot. In reference to the complainant advising that they are suicidal. Contact was made with subject who was upset with the care he received at Piedmont Walton in reference to a toothache. Subject was given a ride to hospital by EMS.
Suspicious Person – W Spring St. Walmart. In reference to a white female with reddish hair with a gray puppy, standing near Harry’s Marathon on the curb. Negative contact, the area was checked.
Juvenile Complaint – Wheel House Ln. In reference to the complainant advising that there a multiple juveniles in their front yard refusing to leave.
Disturbing the Peace – W Spring St. McDonalds. In reference to trucks being loud. Subjects relocated. All ok.
