MPD Reports: Entering auto, burglary, threats and animal complaints

The City of Monroe reported the following incidents for the period June 27 – July 3, 2019. Due to the length, this has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Dispute – Cook St. Complainant was in a dispute with Samdrekas Ployd over money. During the dispute Samdrekas pulled a black handgun on the complainant and stated he was going to shoot him. Samdrekas already has warrants for his arrest and was gone on arrival, warrants to be taken.
  • Dispute – Birch St. -. Complainant requested that an Officer see if her daughter was on location.  Her daughter was located and turned over to the mother.  All ok.
  • Entering auto – Nowell St. Passenger window broke sometime this date, nothing taken.
  • EMS Assist – Ash Lane in reference to a female unconscious.  Upon arrival, the female was talking. Turned over to EMS.
  • DOA – S. Madison Ave.  The subject was located by his son on location deceased.  During the course of the investigation, it was determined the subject died from natural causes approximately a week ago.  The body was turned over to the Coroner.
  • Theft report – Davis St.; Complainant stated he gave a ride to a subject that took an inoperable gun from his vehicle.  The subject was located on Turner St. and the gun was returned.  Complainant did not wish to press charges.
  • Suicide Threat – Carwood Dr.  Subject left the residence and told the daughter she was never coming back due to an argument with the daughter.  Officers were able to contact subject via telephone and get her to return home.  All ok at this time.
  • Intoxicated person – Jack Peters Grocery; Subject on location causing a disturbance. The subject has a Criminal Trespass warning for the store, however, they declined prosecution. The subject was given a courtesy ride to Davis St.
  • Discharging Firearms – Arcadia Ct.  Contact was made at Walton Rd. in reference to smoke in the area of the residence.  They advised they had shot off fireworks.  All ok.
  • Suspicious Person – Walmart.  The manager stated a white male and female were in the parking lot acting suspiciously. While en route the female had left Walmart.  The female was stopped by Officer due to multiple violations.  The female was identified as Lisa Dingler.  Ms. Dingler was placed under arrest due to Driving Under Influence drugs.  Officers that responded to Walmart made contact with the male Joshua Slaton.  Mr. Slaton was placed under arrest for possession of methamphetamine and shoplifting.
  • Meet With – E. Spring St.: In reference to meeting with a subject who wanted to turn over some fake money. Report Taken.
  • Warrant Pickup – at Columbia County SO – In reference to Clifford Poss with Monroe Probation warrant.
  • Juvenile Runaway – Birch St.:  Juvenile left the residence at approximately 0330 hours and has not been seen.  Juvenile took his mother’s car keys and entered her vehicle to steal cigarettes and loose change.
  • Threats – W. Spring St. (Fireworks stand): Complainant wanted MPD to be aware of a white male driving a white pick-up truck with furniture in the back making threats to blow up the stand. Complainant wishes for extra patrols until July 5th. Decline a report at this time.
  • Warrant – Alcovy St.:  Sheila Saginar arrested on probation warrant.
  • Burglary – Spruce Ln.: Complainant stated that 2 of her windows on the side of the residence were damaged. Report Taken.
  • 0612 Hours (Suspicious Vehicle) Court Street: Dispute – E. Marable St. – In reference to the dispute between two subjects uncooperative and did not want assistance. Parties separated.
  • Animal Complaint – Childers Park: Pitbull chasing patrons in the park. The animal belongs to W. Washington St. to a subject. The animal is back at home. All ok.
