MPD Reports: Entering auto, robbery, threats and several disputes

The City of Monroe Police Report reported the following incidents for the period Sept. 5 – 12, 2019. Due to length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the fourth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Meet With – Baron Dr.. in reference to earlier day shift call. Met with complainant in reference to an issue she had with officers on a previous call. Complainant appeared intoxicated (Odor of alcoholic beverage, bloodshot eyes, repetitive speech, etc.) Complainant wanted to inform MPD that she would be making a complaint. She was advised of the process. All ok. 
  • Suspicious Person – Walmart. W. Spring St. in reference to a subject on location after being told to leave. He was located and it was discovered he has schizophrenia and off his medication. His mother was contacted and he was issued a criminal trespass warning.
  • Suicide Threats – S. Madison Ave. in reference to 25-year-old male. Subject was heavily intoxicated and wished to go to the hospital in reference to not wanting to live. However, subject did not make any direct threats.
  • Dispute – W. Washington St. Civil dispute between two males over property. One was given an opportunity while officers were on scene to gather his property and advised he was moving out. He officially moved out of the residence while on scene and was advised of the civil process to obtain any additional property.
  • Wanted Person – Alcovy St. in reference to a subject being on location with an active warrant. He was arrested and transported to the Jail without incident.
  • Meet with Officer – S. Broad St. – MPD. Complainant wanted to complain about drug activity, fighting, and underage substance abuse occurring at S. Broad St. She advised it has been an ongoing issue. Joint ops were advised.
  • Drug Activity – Pine Park St. in reference to subjects outside smoking and playing loud music. Officer spoke to the subjects in question. No drugs or loud music was observed. All okay.
  • Robbery – Landers St. – TV and other items stolen from residence. Physical scuffle with suspects. Suspect was named.
  • Entering auto – S. Madison Ave. Complainant stated that he had footage of someone entering several of his cars around 0500 on Sunday morning. He requested a report.
  • Threats – W. Spring St. at the Waffle House – Complainant reported that subject was on location around 1400 hrs telling other employees to give him a threatening message. He was advised how to obtain a Good Behavior Warrant.
  • Dispute – Vine St. Two subjects were involved a verbal dispute. Male subject wished to get his belongings from female subjects’ residence. Female subject resides in the County. Remedies given. The two parties do not meet the criteria for a domesticated relationship. All ok.
  • Traffic Stop – E. Marable / Roosevelt . Woman was stopped and had active warrants out of Athens. She was arrested and taken to the Walton County jail.
  • Dispute – S. Madison. Subject and a named person were involved in a dispute. During the dispute the named femaled kicked in the door and began throwing objects within the residence. The subject did not wish to press charges and the two parties were not in a domesticated relationship. While on scene the woman began yelling obscenities outside the residence and disturbing the general public. She was taken into custody for disorderly conduct.
  • Threats – Monroe motor inn. Complainant stated that a friend sent her a text stated that another female told her that she was going to beat her up. Complainant requested Officers to follow her back to her room for her safety.
  • Harassment – E. Spring St. at the Monroe Motor Inn – Complainant stated she was getting more text messages. All were advised to end the text messaging or management would clear them from the property.
