MPD Reports: Female juvenile attacks stepfather with hammer; stabbing victim transported to local hospital; slew of disputes

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Feb 12 – 19, 2026. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

• Vehicle Accident – W Spring St; Walmart – In reference to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries.
• Suspicious Vehicle – South Broad St @ Southside MHP – In reference to a male riding a dirtbike in the area. Negative contact.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Highschool Ave; On Stage Walton
Vehicle Accident – W Spring St – In reference to a two vehicle accident with no injuries.
• Dispute – Rose Ison Ter – In reference to a dispute possibly in Rose Ison Terrace. Contact made with Multiple Individuals in the area who stated no dispute had occurred. All appeared okay upon departure.
• Dispute – Hubbard St – Dispute between three subjects after the first, a subject with mental issues, stated they all had a disagreement about land. Situation mediated. It was advised that the first subject would be picked up by his older sister shortly after units left.
• Dispute – Mill Stone Bluff – In reference to subject coming to the listed address to pick up items for his brother who is incarcerated currently. The resident on location was uncooperative and stated that nothing else in the apartment belonged to the brother. Civil remedies were advised to both.
• Other law / Agg. Assault – Highway 78 WB / N.Broad St – Reference being flagged down by a female driver who stated the male passenger needed medical attention. Upon contact with the passenger he observed with a large laceration to his abdomen consistent with a stab wound. He was transported to Piedmont Walton via Patrol car to receive treatment for his injuries. Upon speaking with both the driver and the victim, the location and suspect remains unknown. The victim wished not to prosecute and did not give any pertinent information to Officers or CID. Report made.
• Shots Fired – Wheel House Ln – In reference to subjects fighting at the entrance of Monroe Estates and claims that one of the suspects in the altercation had fired 3 rounds in the air out of a handgun following the fight. Nine rounds of unspent 9mm ammunition were located near the site of the fight, but no shell casings. CID was notified of the incident. Photos and video collected to be uploaded to the case files.
• Civil Issue – 140 Blaine St @ MPD – In reference to complainant wanting to report harassment from subject over an iPhone. Subject agreed to pick up the phone at MPD. Complainant willing turned it over to be held for subject’s arrival.
• Vehicle Accident – Pavilion Pkwy; Publix. In reference to a two vehicle accident with no injuries.
• Civil Issue – Pine Knoll- Resident asking questions about civil eviction. Eviction process explained.
• Suspicious Vehicle – South Broad St / City Limits.
Vehicle Unlock – Pavilion Pkwy – Vehicle was unlocked with no damage.
• Juvenile Complaint – Mill Stone Bluff – 12-year-old struck stepfather with a hammer. The female juvenile was arrested and transported to Gainesville RYDC.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Hwy 78 / James Huff Road – Reference a Blue jeep failing to maintain lane. No contact made.
• Suspicious Vehicle – W Spring St and Hwy 138 – In reference to a suspicious vehicle. Negative contact.
• Vehicle Unlock – E Spring St – Vehicle unlocked. No damage.
• Suspicious Person – Taylor Wrecker Service / E Spring – In reference to the subject becoming disorderly on a Greyhound transit bus and threatening to fight people. The bus driver had stopped the vehicle at the listed location and ordered subject to gather his belongings and exit the bus. Subject refused the driver’s demand until our arrival, in which he gathered his belongings. Subject was then advised to attempt to find a mode of transportation to his destination.
• Assist Motorist – W Spring / Animal Hospital – Vehicle was unlocked with no new damage.
