MPD Reports: Fraud, theft and questions over deliberately passing on of HIV

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Oct. 3 – 10, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Theft Report – Pine Park; – Complainant reported her debit card information and a cell phone stolen this date by a subject. 
  • Suicide Attempt – Creekview Dr. Caller stated a subject had taken multiple pills in an attempt to kill herself. Upon Officer’s arrival subject stated she was ok and showed Officer where she had thrown the pills in the trash. She refused to be transported for a mental evaluation.
  • Warrant Service – University Parkway (Gwinnett County Jail) – in reference to serving a warrant on a subject for Failure to Appear with this agency. The subject was fingerprinted at the Monroe Police Department and transported to the Walton County Jail for booking.
  • Burglary – Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd (Checkers): Complainant stated that the business was broken into overnight. Nothing is missing at this time. Report is taken.
  • Theft – Towler St. in reference to a stolen tag. Complainant advised someone stole her temporary tag off her 2004 Honda Accord. Report made.
  • Fraud – S. Broad St. – In reference to the complainant having Macy’s credit card used out of state. Report taken.
  • Fraud – MPD – In reference to the complainant having a credit card opened in her name. Report taken
  • Assault – S. Madison Ave. in reference to the complainant being pushed to the floor in her home by the subject after another subject grew upset over complainant having an issue with his dog. The complainant advised she wanted a report so she can get a restraining order. Report taken.
  • Domestic – E. Church St. in reference to a dispute. Once on scene, I made contact with a male complainant who stated his wife, knocked his heart medication over so he grabbed her to stop her from causing any more damage. She then slapped him and threw his phone on the concrete floor causing his phone to crack. The wife was placed under arrest and charged with Simple Battery (Family Violence) and Criminal Trespass. Report made.
  • Juvenile complaint – Roosevelt St. in reference to complainant making a complaint about children riding bikes through his yard. Juveniles advised to stay off of grass.
  • Harassment – S. Madison Ave. WCSO. in reference to complainant seeking advice on TPO in regards to a subject. Extra Patrol of Spruce Ln requested. All ok.
  • Assault – S. Broad St; Complainant reported being assaulted by a subject, who was gone when police arrived. Warrants to be taken for battery.
  • Meet with Officer – S. Broad St. In reference to a female wanting information on how to proceed if her partner has HIV and knowingly infects her with HIV during sex. Options were advised.
  • Civil Issue – Green St. in reference to a subject trying to get into the home. She left before officers’ arrival. The eviction process explained. Area checked for her due to a warrant out of Monroe. Negative contact
