MPD Reports: Gas stolen from tank of semi parked at Walton Truck Stop

The City of Monroe reported the following incidents for the period of March 8 – 13, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into six parts. This is the first part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Warrant served – on Roosevelt St. at Roberts St. ref: to Donald Howard observed on foot in the area. Howard was arrested for a MPD warrant and transported to the Jail without incident.
  • Illegal Parking – S. Broad reference to a silver in color Toyota Camry parked in private parking space. Contact made with the owner and the vehicle was moved.
  • Dispute – Birch St. ref: a physical dispute between male and female. Officers spoke with all parties involved and received conflicting stories. All parties were advised of the warrant process.
  • Damage to Property – Wall St.  reference to a broken window. Complainants stated they were trying to move into their new residence and discovered the back window was broken. Report taken.
  • Warrant Served – Tanglewood Dr. ref: to Jimmy Johnson being on location with an active felony warrant. Jimmy fled on foot towards Green Acres where he was detained by officers. He was charged with disorderly conduct and taken to the Walton County Jail.
  • Agency Assist – Kendell Ct. in ref: to a deputy stopping a stolen vehicle and the driver fled on foot. Vehicle towed by Taylor’s Wrecker Service.
  • Warrant Served – Alcovy St. – Georgia Probation Management. Roy Chasteen was arrested for a violation of probation through Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
  • 2025 Hours (Area Check) on Baron Drive – In reference to a group of juveniles fighting on the street. All the juveniles were gone when officers arrived.
  • Traffic Stop -MLK –  Quantavis Jones stopped for equipment violation. He returned with license suspended for child support with no serve date. He was served with notice of suspension. Passenger admitted to having a misdemeanor amount of marijuana. Marijuana recovered.
  • Dispute – Glen Iris Dr. – Dispute between two individuals in ref: to a vehicle.  One subject collected his belongings and left for the night. report taken.
  • Burglary – West Creek Circle – Front door was standing wide open when the homeowner returned home from work. Responding officers cleared the residence. Complainant returned home and noticed that money was missing from his bedroom. Report taken.
  • Transport – Madison Co. – Picked up Nicole Presley on a bench warrant out of MPD and transported to the Walton County Jail.
  • Theft Report – Hwy 78 – Walton Truck Stop in ref: to someone stealing a quarter tank of diesel fuel out of the semi the complainant was driving. Report taken.
  • Dispute – Barron Dr. ref: to Mother wanting her son to leave his brothers alone because the son was agitating them. Situation mediated.
