MPD Reports: Green graffiti, suicide or attempt, DUI charges after vehicle runs into ditch

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period April 18 – 25, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the fourth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Damage to Property – Storehouse Ct: Subject vehicle had green spray paint on the hood.  I located a can of used green spray paint on the roadway of Storehouse Court with fresh paint.  I photographed all the area.  I also contacted the management office to inquire about the surveillance video.  Report taken.
  • Damage to Property – Tall Oaks W.: Complainants vehicle tag was completely covered in green spray paint.  Report taken.
  • Damage to Property – Tall Oaks West: No one home at this residence and it is rented by advantage.  The front door has green spray on it.
  • Damage to Property – Wheelhouse Lane – In reference to a white Dodge truck with green spray paint on it.
  • Damage to Property – Tall Oaks W.: Officer observed green paint on the hood of tag.  Unable to make contact with the resident.
  • Damage to Property – Tall Oaks W.: Side window of the apartment was painted green.  Made contact with the resident. He said he went to bed at 2300 hrs and woke up at 0700 hours and saw the paint.
  • Damage to Property – Tall Oaks W.: Officer observed green spray paint “BD” on the tailgate of tag. Made contact with the registered owner.
  • Suicide or Attempt – Maple Lane Apart. – In ref: to subject taking an unknown amount of pills. Transported to Piedmont Walton by EMS.
  • Suspicious vehicle – N. Broad St/Tanglewood.  Officer stopped the driver when she backed into the ditch at Hot Spot. Female was arrested for Driving under the influence.
  • Domestic – Forest St.: Cedric Weaver making specific threats via phone to harm his children’s mother. The incident was witnessed. Cedric advised he will be driving around Monroe to locate and harm the mother. Warrants To Be Taken for Cedric for terroristic threats.
  • Damage to Property – Nowell Way. While conducting an area check officer notice that a vehicle had struck the gate causing damage, report taken for documentation.
  • Damage to property – Ridge Rd. The complainant stated that while she was driving on Perry St. she passed a large group of people having a party. As she passed the party a subject punched her windshield and broke it. Attempted to make contact with the subject, unable to locate, report taken.
  • Theft – W. Creek Circle: Two bikes stolen from an address. A subject was located a short time later riding one of the bikes. Subject helped locate the second bike and was turned over to father.  The victim did not wish to press charges report taken to document the incident.
  • Suspicious person) Ash St at Harris St. Man was walking home from his girlfriend’s house all ok.
