MPD Reports: Harassment complaints, theft, burglary, suicidal thoughts and many dispute resolution calls

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Dec. 14 – 22, 2018. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Harassment, Magnolia Terr., the complainant advised she is receiving harassing communications from named female. Advised of remedies.

  • Theft, Edwards St., reference to a theft of a package off the front porch. The complainant advised someone took the package between 5 pm – 8 pm. The package was a personalized calendar of his daughter. Report taken
  • Dispute, East Spring St., Monroe Motor Inn., two subjects were in involved in a dispute that resulted in a short physical scuffle.  Both advised against fighting in the future.
  • Dispute, Unisia Dr., Wal-Mart DC. Complainant’s Ford Explorer was repossessed by GA Title Pawn.  She understood it was a civil issue.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, East Marable St., Matthews Park, a female subject was talking with a friend.  She was advised to talk elsewhere due to the park closing during night time hours
  • Suicidal Threats, Breedlove Dr., Ridgeview, female subject checked into Ridgeview around 0200 hours. Subject grew impatient and left the hospital on foot. Down the road on Breedlove Dr., the subject got into male’s subject’s 2015 Chevy Silverado and drove off. The vehicle and subject were both recovered at Ridgeview. Male subject did not wish to pursue charges and female subject advised she would stay at Ridgeview.
  • Dispute, Davis St., reference to two subjects having a verbal dispute. The situation was mediated, everything on location ok. Report taken
  • Theft in the area of the Hot Spot, the complainant advised someone stole his bicycle and fled the area. After checking the area, the complainant could not be located and dispatch could not make contact due to it being a 911 only phone
  • Traffic Stop, Southside MHP, James Massey was arrested for reckless driving, driving on a suspended license, and two probation violation warrants, one through MPD and one through Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Wanted Person, Alcovy St., State Probation, Shon Steward and Samantha Hall were on location with probation violation warrants. Both were taken into custody and transported to the Walton County Jail.
  • Meet with Officer, South Broad St., MPD, the complainant advised she fell at Walmart. She requested a report.
  • Welfare Check, North Broad St., Susie’s Wings, reference to male subject lying in the roadway. The male subject was checked on scene by EMS. Everything on location was ok.
  • Suspicious Person, Camptowne Gardens, an officer made contact with the complainant who advised an unknown black male had been messing with her. The subject was wearing black coveralls and a blue hoodie. Officer had negative contact
  • Harassment, Plaza Dr., reference to a neighbor knocking on the door of complainant during early morning hours and damaging door.
  • Sexual Assault at Quality Foods, reference to complainant claiming named subject sexually assaulted her. Unable to verify the account. Report taken.
  • Dispute, Davis St., over an EBT card.  The card was returned to a very intoxicated complainant.
  • Trespassing, Cook St., A neighbor to residence stated she heard someone inside.  A rear door was unsecured.  The residence was checked and appeared okay.  The residence was resecured.
  • Follow Up, Towler St., Camptowne Gardens in reference to named male subject following complainant and harassing her. The complainant stated this is an ongoing issue; she was advised of the good behavior warrant process and to contact the police with any further issues. Report taken.
  • Dispute, South Broad St., reference to two subjects disputing over a vehicle. The situation was resolved.
  • Dispute, Chestnut Lane, reference to subjects yelling outside. Subjects refused to speak with police. Contact made with Angelia Morales with Warrants from Athens Clark County Police Department. Arrested and transported to WCSO.
  • Suspicious Person, Perry St., the complainant advised a group of people possibly going to fight. Contact was made in the area of Perry Street.
  • Burglary, North Broad St., on 12/15/18 at approx. 0353 hours, Owner received a call from the alarm company. Officers responded to an audible alarm and cleared business.  The owner said today they realized a package at the front desk was missing that contained approx. $150 of skin product.  The owner is working to get his surveillance video up and saved to a jump drive. At this time, no inventoried list of what was actually taken. Key holder information logged with dispatch. Report taken.
  • Burglary, Plaza Dr., complainant reported that numerous children’s Christmas gifts were taken from the apartment.  No forced entry.
