The City of Monroe Police Department is reporting the following incidents for the period March 4 – 11, 2021. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the fourth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Dispute – Baron Dr Subject on location attempting to recover belongings after a dispute. Subject left residence with friend. No physical altercation accused. All ok
Mental Person – Parkway Pl. Reference to subject on location having a mental health crisis and fighting with family. Subject was transported to Piedmont Walton for evaluation. Turned over to Hospital Staff.
Traffic Offense -S Broad St & Mears St. Reference to a Green Ford Explorer stopped for a defective rear wheel. Further investigation led to the arrest of the driver for active arrest warrants out of Walton County. Two juveniles in the vehicle were turned over to their mother.
Dispute – Perry St. in reference to a subject being on location without permission. The subject was arrested for obstruction and transported to jail.
Burglary Attempt – Edwards St -Three unknown male subjects knocked on the door and were chased away by the resident’s canines. An extensive area check was conducted with negative contact.
Theft – South Broad Street (Southside Park): In reference to complainant discovering some items missing from the residence and believes that her ex-boyfriend took the items. Report made.
Mental Patient – South Madison Avenue and Davis Street subject having a mental episode and running nude in the area. He was turned back over to family members.
Disturbing the Peace – E Marable St. Contact made with homeowner who advised they would keep the noise down.
Hit and Run – Duke St in reference to a hit and run on McDaniel St, report taken.
Shoplifting -Chestnut Cupboard. Employee stating a black male had shoplifted items, fought with staff and fled scene in a vehicle. Traffic stop conducted.
Traffic Stop – Hwy 138 & West Spring. Traffic stop for no tag lights. Subject arrested for trafficking methamphetamine along with several other drug related felonies.
Other Law – S Broad St. Complainant reporting an incident that occurred between her juvenile daughter and an adult male. CID was notified. Report was made. Turned over to CID for further investigation.
Other Law – S Broad St. – Complainant advising the house her mother is staying at is filthy. Her mother advised that she was drunk and an addict and she wanted her trespassed from the property. Complainant was served with a prohibited entry and she left the property.
Shoplifting – W. Spring St. at Walmart two females shoplifting. One was arrested, fingerprinted, and released.
Theft – S Broad St. In reference to the complainant’s purse missing. Report made.
