The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Jan. 14 – 21, 2021. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the first part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Dispute – Valero East Spring Street Verbal argument. All okey.
Unknown Law – Towler Street: In reference to a female screaming / disconnected the line. Contact was made with subject. She stated just wanted to be removed from the property. She was gone when officers arrived . All okay.
Dispute – Towler Street: Complainant wanted roommate to leave the residence. Roommate left on his own, and parties were separated.
Dispute – Sorrells Street. Dispute called in third party. Negative contact with anyone at the residence of Sorrells Street. All appeared ok.
Burglary – Overlook Crest family members checking on the house, front door was wide open. Nothing missing, report taken.
Dispute – New Lacy St. Reference to Complainant reporting threatening phone calls from her ex- girlfriend. Ex-girlfriend not on location. Complainant advised of the Temporary Protection Order process and eviction process.
Suspicious Person – W Spring St Subject on location passed out in his vehicle, probable cause search conducted and the subject was arrested for possession of Schedule II methamphetamine.
EMS Assist – West Marable Street Subject with difficulty breathing. Transported by EMS.
Dispute – W. Spring Street at Haven Inn. Verbal dispute between two parties over living arrangements. Parties mediated and separated.
Welfare Check – N. Broad Street at Susies. In reference to a juvenile trying to cross the roadway. Juvenile was identified and and was turned back over to his mother who was not on location when the incident took place.
Disabled Vehicle – N. Broad St. – In reference to a female subject needing her car battery jumped. Her driver’s license came back that she had a probation violation. She was arrested and brought to the Walton Couty Jail.
Hit and Run – E Spring St. In ref to a hit and run that occurred this date. Complainant vehicle received minor damage. Report taken.
Child Custody – S.Broad St. at MPD. Complainant wanted to file a report over ex-wife changing meeting locations for child custody.
Animal Complaint -Green St. shaggy white dog on the loose. Dogs placed back into fence and owners notified.
Burglary In Progress – Bold Springs Ave. Checked the building. Everything appeared ok. No one located. Caller did not wish to meet.
Suicide Threat – Tall Oaks Drive. Subject was experiencing a medical episode. Subject approached officers in an aggressive and combative manner and was tased as a result. Subject was turned over to medical staff at Piedmont Walton for a mental evaluation.
Welfare Check – James Monroe Homes. Custody issue between mother and father of daughter. Options were advised. Report was taken for documentation.
Transport – E Spring Street. Dairy Queen. Approached by a citizen who was visibly intoxicated. He asked for a ride home due to him being stranded by his ride and without a phone. Subject given a ride home.
