MPD Reports: Issues related to homelessness and mental health

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Oct. 17 – 24, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Traffic Stop – E. Fambrough St. – In reference to Phillip Cross pulled over for failure to maintain Lane. A large number of narcotics and money found on subject. Arrested for possession with intent, obstruction, failure to maintain lane and drug related objects. 
  • Dispute – Walker Dr. Complainant stated several kids came to her house and knocked over her motorcycle, and then tried to run her over. She requested an area check and to tell them not to come back to her house.
  • Burglary – Tanglewood Dr; Unknown subjects threw a brick through the rear window of this residence and stole $475.00 in cash from the complainants’ bedroom. No processable evidence on scene.
  • Dispute -Cotton Cafe; In reference to a former employee threatening staff. Subject was gone on arrival.
  • Wanted person – Deer Acres Inn; Subject on location with active warrants out of Florida. Florida would not extradite; warrant was not attempted.
  • Intoxicated Person – American Legion; Subject was on location highly intoxicated and causing a disturbance. Subject left the location when requested by management.
  • Assault – W. Spring St. (Piedmont Walton) in reference to female being assaulted by a patient while she was working at Ridgeview.
  • Wanted Person – Hammond Park; While checking the area for the suspicious person from previous call, Officer located subject in the park on a bicycle. Richard had an FTA warrant out of Social Circle and was arrested and taken to WC Jail.
  • Suspicious Person – W. Spring St. -Walmart- While conducting a foot patrol of Walmart, Officer’s located subject who had an outstanding warrant out of Savannah. Subject was arrested and taken to WC Jail.
  • Prowler – Belle Meade Rd. Cleared exterior of residence due to complainant hearing knocking heavily on door. Negative contact.
  • Animal Complaint – Davis St. reference to the neighbor’s dog coming into complainants’ yard. The neighbor was informed of the incident.
  • Dispute – Turner St. reference to subject arguing with another subject due to being intoxicated. Intoxicated subject agreed to go lay down.
  • Entering Auto – W. Creek Cir.: Complainant stated that he had his medication taken from the center console of the vehicle. Report taken.
  • Ems Assist – E. Spring St. – In reference to a subject complainant of being poisoned by vehicle she is living in. Subject transported to Piedmont Walton by EMS. Her two dogs were turned over to Animal Control.
  • Civil Dispute – Davis St. in reference to the landlord on location noticing that some items around the house was not how he left them. Landlord was advised on how to handle the matter civilly.
  • Wanted Person – W. Creek Circle in reference to a subject being on location with an active warrant out of Walton County. She was arrested and transported to WCSO.
  • Meet With – S. Broad St. Complainant wanted to know what could be done about someone making false accusations about him. Complainant was advised of remedies on how to handle the matter.
  • Civil Matter – A Plaza Dr.: Met with complainant who stated that he and his mother got into a verbal argument over living arrangements. The situation was mediated, and parties separated for the evening.
  • Harassment – S. Madison Ave. Complainant stated her ex-girlfriend keeps on harassing her by driving by her house and parking in front of her residence.
  • Dispute – Sorrells St. Female complainant was claiming her roommate would not let her inside their residence. Situation was mediated and options advised.
  • Mental Health – Piedmont Walton ER. in reference to a disorderly patient with signed mental evaluation order. Stood by until WSCO arrived. All ok.
