MPD Reports: Jeep Liberty stolen, alleged assault and stolen package

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for Nov. 2 – 8, 2018. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Dispute, Tanglewood Dr., complainant stated her ex was in the driveway and would not leave. Male was gone when officers arrived.
  • Stolen Vehicle, East Fambrough St., the complainant reported her 2008 Black Jeep Liberty stolen on last date between 1400-2000 hours. Report taken, vehicle placed on GCIC.
  • Dispute, Sorrel St., caller advised he observed a male striking a female on Sorrell St. B/F wearing a floral design shirt arguing.  Officers had negative contact after doing an area check.
  • Shoplifting, West Spring St., Quality Foods, met with the Co-Store Manager who stated that a named female walked out of the store without paying for a box of Dayquil. Co-Store Manager declined to prosecute, but wanted a Criminal Trespass to be issued.
  • Suspicious Person, East Spring/Baker St., Employees of Accounting Concepts called about an elderly male walking in the area. The officer explained to the caller on the scene the man likes to walk and everything is ok.
  • Dispute, W. Marable St., complainant called while she was at work stating that named male subject was on location removing items from the residence.  She advised that he no longer lives there and that the locks have been changed.  Negative contact with anyone at the apartment, doors were secured and no forced entry.
  • Traffic Stop, Highway 78 West/Highway 138, Speeding and DUI-Drugs Less Safe. Consented to DRE evaluation
  • Theft, Cook St., met with the complainant who stated that she had 2 packages delivered today and one is missing. Report Made.
  • Suspicious Vehicle Call, Plaza Dr., complainant advising possible Juveniles smoking weed in a Silver Ford vehicle in the parking lot. Complainant doesn’t want to meet. Negative contact.
  • Suspicious Person, Highway 78, Waffle House, reference to a female subject on location hanging around. The female subject stated she was dropped off by the county, so she could get a ride home from her sister that is coming from Gwinnett County. Waffle House advised it was ok for her to be on location, they just don’t want her hanging around the back door. Nothing further.
  • Suspicious Person, Green Street/GW Carver, the officer observed a subject walking down the road intoxicated.  He was not cooperating with the officer and was taken into custody for public drunkenness.  He was transported to the jail and issued a City Ordinance Citation.
  • Warrant Served, Kelton Rd., Caller advised that Meily Santiago-Echevarria was on location and had warrants out of Barrow County. Contact was made, and Santiago had active warrants. She was arrested and taken to the Walton County Jail.
  • Possible Burglary in Progress, West Highland Ave., caller advised she believed someone was trying to steal her vehicle from the location.  Upon Officer arrival, there was nobody on location other than the caller.  All ok.
  • Welfare Check, Armistead Circle, reference to checking on a 3-month-old child.  Contact was made with the mother as well as the child and all was ok.
  • Prowler Report, Towler St., complainant stated they heard noises outside their apartment. There was a new tenant moving in. Nothing further.
  • Agency Assist, Armistead Circle, reference to DFACS needing an escort to address. All okay in reference to the earlier call.
