The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Feb. 11 – 18, 2021. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the first part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Dispute – Bold Springs Ave; Juvenile intake officer was contacted. Report Made.
Juvenile Complaint – South Broad Street: In reference to Panhandling at CVS and Hardees. Juvenile was released to his mother at Juvenile Court.
Juvenile Runaway – Classic Trail: Subject leaving the residence without permission. Unknown whereabouts. Subject entered on GCIC as a runaway juvenile. Report made.
Mental Patient – West Spring Street (Piedmont Walton): Subject with a signed mental evaluation trying to leave the hospital. Subject was escorted back to his room. All okay.
Theft – Nowell Street someone possibly taking delivery of an Amazon package that belonged to the complainant.
Warrant – E Spring St Subject turning himself in for an active warrant, he was arrested and transported to Walton County Sheriff’s Office Jail.
Child Abuse – West Spring Street; Piedmont Walton 2-year-old with a broken leg. Report completed; CID notified.
Disturbing the Peace – Ridge Road dispute between male and female ends in arrest of both. Male arrested for violation of bond conditions. Female arrested for obstruction.
Suspicious vehicle – HW78EB and HW138 ramp. Silver Honda pilot off the roadway and unoccupied. Vehicle was red tagged, all ok.
Fire assist – West Spring St., Captain D’s. Fire on scene advised smoke in the building and requesting full response. Turned over to Monroe Fire Department, all ok.
Shoplifting – West Spring St., Shoe Depot. to a pair of neon orange Nike slides stolen from the store. No video footage, white male drove off in a white extended cab Chevrolet Colorado. Subject was gone when officer arrived. Report was taken.
Dispute – Sporty Ln. two parties on location causing disturbance. One was criminally trespassed, and a report completed.
Entering auto – West Spring St., Walmart. Ref to tools taken out of an unlocked white work van.
Dispute – West Spring St., Piedmont Walton. Report of a dispute at the Murphy USA. Upon officers, arrival contact could not be made with complainant.
Entering auto – Mobley Cir. Ref to a black ford ranger broken into sometime last date. Monroe Area High School Chrome book computer was stolen. Advised to report to MAHS and get serial number and track it using GPS on laptop. No suspects. Report was made.
Civil issue – West 5th St. Ref to two parties over items in the residence. Parties mediated.
Hit and run – HW138, Chick-Fil-A. two vehicles involved accident, no injuries. Ford Escape left the scene of the accident. Report was made in GEARS.
