The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Sept. 24 to Oct. 1, 2020. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Dispute – Gliding Way; – Two subjects were involved in a dispute. One requested that subject leave the residence. Subject was picked up by her mother. Remedies given.
Theft Report – N Broad St. Waffle House. In reference to customers leaving without paying. Follow up to be conducted on 09/27/2020 by officer to get video surveillance footage due to the complainant advising they could not get a copy of it tonight. Report taken.
Dispute – Perry St. In reference to complainant’s boyfriend who took the complainant’s money and advised that he is hiding in the woods.
Dispute – Etten Dr. in ref. to daughter and boyfriend having an argument and sister trying to stop it. Report was made and parties were separated with remedies advised.
Gun Shot wound – South Broad St., Southside MHP. Complainant advised her husband had been shot in the neck over a game a while ago. On arrival, complainant advised officers of a fallen and broken flower pot was her husband. Complainant is a mental patient and denied medical treatment. Residence was cleared and no one was located.
Theft Report – New Lacy Street. Complainant reported a back pack stolen. She was not sure of items stolen but wanted a report.
Follow-up – Etten Dr. In reference to two parties having a dispute over trying to leave with her boyfriend. Was told one subject was hit in the face during a dispute. Report taken.
Harassment – Alcovy Street. Complainant had questions about being evicted. She was advised her landlord would have to evict her because she has lived on location for about 3 years.
Lost Item – S. Madison Ave. Complainant reported his wallet was stolen on Wednesday at Quick Pick. He was given a case number and advised remedies.
Loitering – W. Spring St. (Walmart). – In reference to three male subjects in a white work van panhandling in the parking lot. Subjects were advised they had to leave the area.
Traffic Offense – Highway 78 and East Marable Street. Subject was arrested for Driving without a license, Possession of Marijuana less than 1 oz, and Speeding. He was fingerprinted and released.
Suspicious Vehicle – W. Spring Street; O’Reilly’s. In reference to a baby not in a car seat. Mother was made aware of child seat requirements and child put into car seat that was brought to the scene.
Dispute – Douglas Street. Father reported his son was being unruly and using an unknown drug. Son was charged with Possession of Schedule 4, drugs not in original container, possession of marijuana, criminal trespass (FVA) and obstruction of an officer (X3), after resisting arrest. Son was released to parents per juvenile intake.
Follow Up – Douglas Street. Father stated he wanted son taken to the hospital. Son went into the ambulance on his own and was transported to Piedmont Walton by EMS.
Dispute – Woodland Rd. – In reference to complainant wanting to retrieve some items from his house because him and his girlfriend were arguing and he was done.
Dispute – Pine Park St. In reference to a dispute between daughter and her mother. Situation was mediated and all was ok.
Dispute – Carwood Dr. In reference to a verbal dispute between subject and neighbor. Subject also advised that neighbor pulled a gun out. Further investigation revealed there was no gun pointed at the complainant. Situation mediated, and ok.
Dispute – Carwood Dr. In reference to neighbors verbally arguing. Complainant advised neighbor is back inside their residence at this time. All ok.
Dispute – Green St. In reference to a subject verbally disputing with the complainant over relationship issues. Complainant left the scene on her own will. Remedies given.
