MPD Reports: Juvenile taken to the hospital after taking pills on social media

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period July 3 – 9, 2020. Due to the length, this report was split into five parts. This is the fourth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Unknown law – Lacy St. In reference to male subject asking for police. Attempted to make contact at the front door. Negative contact. All appeared to be ok at this time. 

Unknown law – Pine Park St. In reference to male subject asking for police. Address changed to Lacy St. Made contact with residents and they advised everything was ok. 

Domestic Problem – S. Broad St. (South Side Park): In reference to domestic dispute between two parties over their pets. 

Stolen Vehicle – Oakwood Lane in reference to complainant having his 2008 Chrysler 300 stolen during the night. Vehicle entered onto GCIC. 

Located stolen vehicle – Harris St. in reference to locating the above stolen 2008 Chrysler 300. Vehicle was processed for fingerprints and released to the owner. Vehicle removed from GCIC. 

Enter Auto – W. Highland Ave. Reference to complainants’ Jeep Wrangler being entered and a Glock 43 taken from the vehicle. Report taken. 

Vehicle Collision – N. Broad St. / Charlotte Rowel: In reference to passenger vehicle colliding into a commercial vehicle. 

Damage to Property – Birch St.: In reference to her fence panel being knocked down. Complainant wanted the incident to be documented. Report made. 20M010118 

Suspicious Person/Dispute – W. Spring St. (Cricket) in reference to a b/f acting irate against staff. The subject was cited for disorderly conduct and criminally trespassed from the business. 

Damage to Property – S. Broad St. – The complainant stated her vehicle was struck while at Piedmont Walton. Report was taken. 

Juvenile Complaint – Peters and Foster. The complainant stated her daughter refused to return to their vehicle. The situation explained and remedies advised. 

Assault – Piedmont Walton. met with complainant who stated she was assaulted in the area of Booth Dr. Hospital staff notified police on patients’ behalf. Report taken. 

EMS Assist – Ridgeview. In reference to subject who is mentally evaluated and was being combative and vomiting. He was compliant upon officer arrival. Officers followed EMS to Piedmont Walton and stayed with subject until he was seen by doctor who stated he was ok. 

Juvenile Complaint – Big Lots. In reference to a group of juveniles on location. Juveniles were not being disorderly. All OK. 

Civil Issue – Complainant wanting to have his wife immediately removed from the property due to her not being on the lease and her alleged infidelity. Complainant was advised of the eviction process. 

Animal Complaint – S. Madison Ave. Complainant stated there was a kitten under her car. No cat was seen. 

Suspicious Person – Atha St. Chevron. Subject on location and refusing to leave. She was advised of loitering and disorderly conduct laws and sent on her way. 

Traffic Offense – S. Broad Dollar General. Driver and passenger arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of LSD, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Fraud – Wendy’s W. Spring St. – Complainant stated that there are several transactions from this location on her debit card that were not approved. Report was taken. 

Suspicious Person – N. Broad – Complainant on location intoxicated and arguing with his girlfriend. Parties agreed to work it out and separate within the residence for the evening.

Welfare Check – Perry St – Location changed to Green St. – In reference to a complainant stating that a juvenile had taken some pills on social media video and made self-harming statements. Made contact with Juvenile and his father. Both stated that he was ok and refused medical treatment. Before Officers left the scene the father stated the juvenile was acting under the influence and requested EMS. EMS transported the juvenile to Piedmont Walton. 

Dispute – Sporty Ln. The complainant stated that her son’s girlfriend was attempting to come into her house. Her son is 25 years old and a resident that gave his girlfriend a key. The girlfriend was gone when officers arrived. Civil remedies advised. 

Emergency Message – Green St. – Hospital could not contact with the father of the juvenile previously transported due to possible overdose. Negative Contact. 

Suspicious Person – Nowell Street in reference to a b/m in the area wearing all black and urinating outside. The subject was gone when officers arrived. 

Damage to Property – Bryant Rd. (Athens Tech): In reference to an outbuilding being damaged. Report made. 

Dispute – W. Spring St. (Haven Inn) in reference to Gregory Green refusing to leave after checkout. Green was escorted off the premise. 

Fraud – Store House Ct.: In reference to account fraud. When the complainant called Cash App customer service number a male answered and took $989.19 out of her checking account after she downloaded two apps on her phone. 

EMS Assist – Hickory Dr. In reference to 84-year-old Male who was reported to have fallen out of bed vomiting. EMS and Fire were on scene prior to MPD arrival conducting CPR. Patient transported Priority one to Piedmont Walton by EMS. Patient was later pronounced deceased and Coroner responded to the hospital.
