The City of Monroe reported the following incidents for the period April 18 – 25, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the first part. Please note, an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
- Juvenile Complaint – Cook St. – Complainant reported her son skipped school. He was located and returned home.
- Juvenile Issue – Baker St. – Both the juvenile, and the guardians were advised of remedies. Situation was resolved. All ok.
- Power Line Down – Hammond Dr. at the New Mercies Pentecostal Temple – A security light pole was down in the side yard of the church. Monroe Utilities was advised.
- Noise Complaint – Pine Park Street – In reference to a large crowd in the parking lot. The crowd quickly disbursed as police arrived.
- 911 Hang Up – Baker St., – Woman called 911 looking for her mother. Stated she wanted her name on the radio. Her mother suffers from mental issues.
- Animal Assist – Southview Dr. – Dog barking aggressively, sounds as if it was fighting something. Everything appeared ok on officers’ arrival.
- Dispute – W. Marable St. – Two subjects were disputing over male subject coming to the house intoxicated. He left for the night. All ok.
- Theft – W. Spring St. – Harry’s Marathon. Two white males shoplifted items from the store last date around 1900 hours. Report taken.
- Meet with Officer – Bankers Blvd at Michael Etchison in reference to complainant reporting damage to his 2015 GMC Yukon. Vareck Gober stated that he was run off the road by a named subject who was driving a 2003 Cadillac Deville. Report taken.
- Agency Assist – E. Spring St. in reference to assisting Barrow County Sherriff’s Office. A traffic stop was conducted, and two subjects were arrested.
- Burglary Report – Old Mill Point in reference to an unknown subject or subjects kicking in the front door. The apartment is vacant. Report taken.
- Found Property – S. Madison Ave. – MFD in reference to a found wallet. Wallet belonged to a named person. Attempts were made to return the wallet with negative contact. Wallet was placed in evidence for safe keeping.
