The City of Monroe Police Department reported the follow incidents for the period Dec. 12 – 19, 2019. Due to the length, this report was split into four parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
- 911 hang up call – Lacy St. in reference to intoxicated parties on scene arguing. Subject stated there was no issues and agreed to separate for the night.
- Dispute – Hwy 78 in reference to white four door SUV on location with subjects arguing. No contact with anyone matching the description.
- Property Damage – South Broad Street Complainant claimed subject busted out her back window in her Chevrolet HHR. The incident occurred at Lakeview Drive. Report taken
- Dispute – Lakeview Dr. in reference to a subject causing a disturbance. Upon Officer arrival, the subject was placed under arrest for two outstanding warrants out of Monroe.
- Dispute – Deere Acres.Male and female in a verbal dispute because male was intoxicated. Female stated that she was just going to leave and all was okay.
- Burglary attempt – Wheel House Lane in reference to the caller’s door opening. Caller refused to meet with officers, requested extra patrol only.
- Discharging Firearms – Hwy 78 in reference to subjects hunting on the land without permission. Complainant and hunter were able to resolve the matter amongst themselves.
- Wanted Person – W. Creek Circle – In reference to a subject wanted for probation violation from MPD. Arrested and transported to Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
- Suspicious Person – on E. Church St. – In reference to a subject yelling at passing cars. Advised to go home.
- Dispute – GW Carver Drive: In reference to Subject arguing with complainant over talking with his juvenile. Situation mediated both parties separated. The process of a good behavior bond was explained to complainant.
- Suspicious Vehicle – Hwy 138 / W. Spring St.: In reference to a traffic incident that happen in the county. Between two parties. Situation mediated.
- Dispute – Tanglewood Dr. – In reference to male subject not leaving when asked. Subject gone on arrival.
- Juvenile Problem – Old Mill Point in reference to juvenile upset because he can’t go outside. Nothing further.
- Dispute – Tanglewood. Male subject from earlier call was back on location. Checked the area with negative contact.
- Theft – E. Spring St. (The Fish Thrift Store): In reference to a lost wallet. The wallet was located. declined a report.
- Suspicious Person – W. Spring St. – In reference to subject filming people in vehicles. Subject gone on arrival.
- Illegal Dumping – Tall Oaks Lane in reference to a red and white Ford truck dumping furniture the back of the neighborhood. Report made.
- Unknown problem – New Lacy St. In reference to two females arguing over their children. Parties were separated and advised of proper remedies.
- Animal complaint – Lost k9 downtown. K9 was located and owner was as well all okay.
- Extra Patrol request – Michael Etchison Rd @ Hwy 138 in reference to possible water main break. DOT Notified.
- Suspicious vehicle – Breedlove at Spring St. Vehicle speeding and tailgating others. Conducted an area check no contact.
- Suspicious vehicle – Pinecrest Dr. in reference to complainant calling about a vehicle parked in her front yard. Vehicle was broken down, removed from yard, all okay.
- Animal Complaint – S. Broad St. in reference to a dog barking and the complainant was afraid the dog could not get to his dog house. The owner brought the dog inside.
- Welfare check – Moe’s; In reference to checking the welfare of subject who was dropped off by an Uber driver at this location. A Moe’s employee that she was meeting. Subjext was arrested for giving false name and outstanding warrants out of Gwinnett and Fulton County.
- Mental person – Breedlove Dr. in reference to a female wishing to go to the hospital for a medical clearance to be admitted to Ridgeview for help with substance abuse and suicidal thoughts. Turned over to EMS, all okay.
