MPD Reports: Juveniles hit neighbors window while shooting BB guns, prowlers likely just rabbits

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Dec. 26, 2019, to Jan. 2, 2020. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Dispute – Carwood Dr; Two subjects were involved in dispute while highly intoxicated and impaired by methamphetamine. One subject was advised that since this was the 5th call of this nature this week possible charges could be taken on future calls of this nature for a disorderly house. 
  • Damage to Property – Store House Ct. in reference to juveniles were shooting BB guns and one of the BB hit the complainant’s bathroom window. The juveniles ran off on foot when the complainant went outside.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – Highway 78 W. B. Semi truck failing to maintain lane. The driver was stopped. All appeared ok
  • Prowler – Alcovy St. Complainant hearing things outside his house. Upon arrival, several rabbits were in the yard and no signs of any persons. All ok.
  • Missing Person – Heritage Trc. A subject walked away from home. Mental Health issues were a consideration. Entered into GCIC
  • Disturbing the peace – S. Madison Ave. in reference to a male subject yelling in the area. Made contact with the subject. The subject’s mother picked him up and took him home.
  • Follow Up – S. Broad St. in reference to an Ipad that was stolen last date from his vehicle that was parked at the FISH.
  • Assault – Lacy St. in reference to several females fighting. The complainant stated she was jumped by a subject and her family. Insufficient evidence didn’t warrant citation.
  • Civil Dispute – Colquitt St. in reference to explaining the civil process of an eviction to the subject. Nothing further.
  • Shoplifting – W. Spring St. Family Dollar. In reference to an unknown female stealing a bottle of salad dressing. Report taken.
  • 911 Hang Up – Old Mill Point: In reference to a physical altercation between the complainant and her boyfriend. Made contact with the complainant at S. Madison Ave. (Quick Pick). Report taken.
  • Dispute – Victory Dr. in reference to a subject being on location and the homeowner does not want him there. The complainant was advised to contact 911 if they have contact with him again so a Criminal Trespass form could be completed.
  • Juvenile Complaint – Carwood Dr. – In reference to the complainant not wanting her daughter to live with her anymore. Advised on options.
  • Dispute – Walker Rd. In reference to a white female arguing with a white male. The female was arguing with the male for striking her son in the nose. He was arrested and charged with Battery. Report taken.
  • Subject with Firearm – Walker Dr.: In reference to a male with a ponytail with a gray backpack pulled a handgun. Negative contact.
  • Suspicious vehicle – In area of White Oak Dr. in reference to a juvenile on a four-wheeler in the area. Juvenile had proper safety equipment and was not driving fast on her four-wheeler. All okay.
  • Fight – N. Broad St. in reference to a large party gathered at the gas station. Upon officers’ arrival, the crowd left and those who would speak to LEO stated nothing occurred.
  • Juvenile Issue – Walmart W. Spring St. in reference to three white male teenagers who were causing a scene at the store. Subjects left prior to officers’ arrival and were out of the City limits when the officer arrived in the area. All ok.
  • Dispute – Reed St. in reference to a male standing in the street intoxicated. Contact made with all subjects involved and advised to stay on their own property. The family stated they would take the intoxicated male inside for the rest of the night.
  • Dispute – Tanglewood Dr. Complainant was in a verbal dispute with her daughter’s boyfriend. She did not want to provide any kind of information or his name. She stated that it was only verbal and that he was gone and does not live on location.
