MPD Reports: Man arrested for lewd acts; Search for patient who left hospital with IV in his arm

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Jan. 29 – 30, 2020. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the first part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction. 

  • Damage to property – W. Marable St. Complainant advised that her neighbors won’t stop leaning on her car. All ok. 
  • Suspicious Person – E. Church Street – Cindy Little request extra patrol of the E. Spring St. location at night, due to somebody rummaging through clothes. She requested officers walk around the loading dock.
  • Theft report – S. Broad St. – Trading Place in reference to a 30-Gauge Remington Rifle missing and supposedly picked up by UPS earlier this month. Report taken and the firearm was listed onto GCIC.
  • Theft report – 6th St. Complainant advised his nephew stole his father’s government-issued phone. Report made.
  • Agency assist – N. Broad St. and E. Marable St. Georgia State Patrol requesting assistance with transporting combative female. All ok.
  • Dispute – Overlook Crest. Two parties involved in a physical dispute. Due to lack of physical evidence primary aggressor could not be determined.
  • Suspicious Person – Perry St. / Green St. In reference to two juveniles walking in the area carrying handguns. Officers made contact with the subjects. They were not in possession of any weapons. All ok.
  • Dispute – N. Madison / Bold Springs Ave. In reference to complainant wanting to retrieve items from her ex-boyfriend. All ok. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Vehicles – Piedmont Parkway. Three vehicles on location. Occupants stated they were hanging out. They were advised to leave the area.
  • Suspicious Persons – reference to subject and his friend walking from Nowell St. to the Valero on E. Spring. They were advised to go home. All ok.
  • Mental Person – Holly Hill Rd. In reference to a subject having a mental episode. She declined EMS. All ok.
  • Welfare Check – Subject missed the bus and was walking to Monroe Elementary. Transported to school, no contact information available for parents.
  • Welfare check – W. Spring St. at Piedmont Walton in reference to checking the area for patient last seen at 0800 hours who left the hospital with IV still in his arm. Negative contact.
  • Civil Issue – E. Marable St. / SweetGum Dr. – In reference to a subject with questions over a vehicle. Advised of civil options
  • Burglary Attempt – W. Marable in reference to something or someone hitting the complainant’s rear window. No damage or entry made.
  • Threats – Church St. in reference to the complainant is receiving threats. The complainant said a named subject has been threatening and harassing her. Today when he saw her, he attempted to unlock her vehicle door. A warrant was issued for the subject for simple assault.
  • Meet With – MPD – In reference to complainant wanting to speak with someone about claims made against him. Turned over to the Criminal Investigation Division.
  • Runaway Juvenile – S. Broad St. in reference to a subject who ran away from his residence because he does not want to go live with his father.
  • Warrant Attempt – Green St. / Perry St.: In reference to a subject walking down the street and having a warrant out of Walton County Sheriff’s Office for Simply Battery. Report made.
  • Dispute – Breedlove Dr. in reference to a patient being upset about her treatment and confinement. Patient was observed to be physically ok and not in need of immediate medical treatment. Referred to civil process upon her release.
  • Suspicious Person – In reference to a male performing lewd acts. Made contact with the subject who was arrested for public indecency
  • Theft – E. Spring St. Missing debit card. Complainant said his debit card went missing and it has not been used before he canceled it. The complainant decided he did not need a report.
