MPD Reports: Man in medical scrubs takes mouth swabs, license & insurance copies from resident

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period June 6 – 12, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the fourth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Complaint – S. Madison Ave. Anonymous complaint in reference to elder abuse at Norris St. Report was declined but referred and given contact info for Adult Protective Services.
  • Dispute – Reed Way: Dispute between two subjects. Parties separated, report taken.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – Glenwood Dr.: Brian Thrailkill arrested for warrants out of Gwinnet County probation. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Person – Harris St. and Davis St: Jerome Peters taken into custody for local Walton County Sheriff’s Office warrants.
  • Inmate Transport – Atlanta Road, Smyrna. Jarvis Thompson transported to Walton County Sheriff’s Office Jail.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – Breedlove Dr. – In reference to a green Chevy Trailblazer parked since Thursday. Vehicle is ok.
  • Domestic – Cedar Lane:  Grant Perry was on location disputing with his father. He was gone when officers arrived.  Warrants to be taken on him for Obstruct 911 Call, Violation of Family Violence Order, and Theft by Taking.
  • Fraud – S. Broad St. Complainant advised that a 6 ft 200 lb black male dressed in Medical Attire claiming to be from her insurance company.  He took a swab of her mouth and copied her driver’s license and insurance info.  She later believed that she was a victim of a scam.  She needed the incident documented to have her insurance and drivers’ license info changed. (This was not the first report of a similar incident)
  • Dispute – King St. – In reference to yelling coming from inside the residence. Made contact with residents who were playing Xbox and wrestling with siblings. All ok.
  • Shoplifting – N. Broad St. – J&B Food Mart. Caller was worried about a large group of juveniles on the location. They were advised not to hang around in the parking lot and were sent on their way.
  • Trespass in Progress – Alcovy St.: Subject arrested for criminal trespass. She was located sitting on the back porch of the above residence in her bathing suit.
  • Suspicious Person -Valero E. Spring: Subject on scene sitting on the side of the Valero charging phone. The subject was listed GCIC as missing person. Turned over to Walton County Sheriff Department.
  • Suspicious Person – E. Spring St.:  Subject on location.  Spoke to Cindy Little with FISH who is going to buy him a bus ticket to get back to Augusta. All ok.
  • Domestic Dispute – 5Th St.: Wife stated she got into an argument with her husband. Parties separated. Report Taken.
  • Suspicious Person – E. Spring St.:  Subject was asking for money for a bus ticket. Contacted FISH back and she had not had a chance to make contact for a bus ticket but called while officers were on the scene. Subject has a bus ticket now. Subject was advised not to go into business’ asking for money.
  • Stolen Motorcycle – Meadow Walk Dr.: Complainant came out and noticed that his 2014 Honda F6B was missing from his driveway. Report taken.
  • 911 Hang Up Domestic Arrest – N. Midland Ave.:  Wife disputing with husband. The husband was arrested for probation warrant with the city.
  • Area Check – Breedlove Dr. / W. Spring St.: In reference to traffic light. Dispatch was advised to have DOT en route to re-check the calibration on the sensor.
  • Domestic – Claywill Cir.:  Couple were disputing.  Subject had a Walton County Sheriff’s Office warrant and was arrested. Due to conflicting stories, report taken.
