MPD Reports: Man walking on railroad tracks with alleged mobile meth lab

The following are the latest incidents reported by the Monroe Police Department. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Suspicious Person, in the area of McDaniel Street in reference to a male standing near the residence. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Burglary in Progress at Norris Street in reference to a subject entering a vacant residence. Location checked with negative contact. Home needs to be unsecure and appears homeless people are staying on location.
  • Warrant Service, at Hill Street in reference to male with active probation warrant out of the City of Auburn. Located checked with negative contact. Consent given to search residence.
  • Area Check, at Store House Court in reference to male hearing noises in attic. Negative contact with anyone or anything inside attic.
  • Damage to Property, at Davis Street. Male advised that a female was throwing rocks at his house because he was upset that someone wouldn’t give him 50 cents. No damage occurred.
  • Meet in Person, at  Walker Drive in reference to a subject wanting to serve his step-daughter with a trespass notice.
  • Damage to Property, at  Magnolia Terrace. An employee of the Monroe Housing Authority advised a tenant damaged a bathroom sink they just repaired. He could also smell the odor of marijuana coming from the apartment. Officer located residue and is going to have it tested.
  • Domestic, at  6th Street in reference to the complainant off her medication and in verbal dispute over debit card.
  • Entering Auto, Arcadia Ct. Complainant advised her boyfriend took her cell phone from her car in Athens. Referred to ACCPD.
  • Domestic Report South Broad St. Landlord reports eviction process underway and came by the house today to find back door kicked in.
  • Meet with officers@ Towler St., Camptown Gardens. Subject transported from Camptown to Skyline Trace to collect clothes and transported back.
  • Dispute East Washington St., James Monroe Homes. Complainant advised a male struck his son leaving medium sized welts. Warrants were taken.
  • Dispute Davis St. Female advised another female threw a brick through her storm door, breaking glass.
  • Request to checking the the area of 6th St. in ref to a white Honda in the area.
  • Threats report  Davis St. Complainant advised b/m subject in black Altima advised he was coming back to handle business and burn the house down.
  • Dispute South Madison Ave. Dispute over vehicle, parties separated, all ok
  • Suspicious person Walker St. and South Madison Ave. Male subject walking on railroad tracks with mobile meth lab.
  • Loud music Bridgeport Pl. Checked area with negative contact.
  • Missing Person Walker Dr. Homeowner returned home to find door open and 28-year-old female mentally and physically disabled missing. All ok female not missing, the two got into an argument earlier and she left.
  • Request to extra patrol, South Madison Ave. Ref to female making threats, ongoing issue. Checked area with negative contact.
  • Dispute New Lacy St. Breon King arrested for aggravated assault and battery against wife.
  • While patrolling on foot of downtown Monroe, located open door at 118 North Broad St., Katie’s Downtown Diner. Cleared and re-secured building, all ok.
  • Suspicious Person, Anonymous complainant, advised a black male on foot in the area with a warrant. Subject wearing a red jacket and red sneakers. Checked area with negative contact.
  • Stolen Vehicle report, South View Dr. Dr. Complainant advised someone stole his 2015 Chevrolet Silverado sometime between the hours of 2300 and 0500 this date. Complainant stated he left his keys in the vehicle. BOLO placed on vehicle and vehicle was placed on GCIC.
  • Agency Assist, Gwinnett County 10/38 Hwy. 78 E. and Marable Street Bridge. Deputy advised a white G35 passed him at speeds of excess of 90 MPH. Driver stopped and cited for too fast for conditions.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, 170 MLK Blvd. “4-Seasons Carwash” subject in vehicle threw bottle toward carwash. Incident occurred during night time hours from subjects hanging out in the parking lot. Extra patrol requested for loitering.
  • Burglary Report Davis St., Complainant advised someone kicked in his door. No items taken. Criminal Trespass report completed.
  • Follow Up, Towler St. female wanted to turn over a hammer that was used by female to assault her son this past weekend. The hammer was placed into evidence a statement was obtained and a supplemental report will be added to the original case.
  • C.I.D. assist, transport and arrest From Social circle, Marco Drive to M.P.D. Brandon Gibbs 10/95. Suspect vehicle also impounded by C.I.D. Suspect arrested in connection with shooting at Fuzions.  Entering Auto Report, Bryant Road. “Athens Tech”, A witness described a tall thin older black male with a maroon or purplish jacket enter the vehicle. Subject had gray bread possibly in his 40’s goes by Sammy. Took a pack of cigarettes.
  • Dispute, Knight St. complainant advised his bike was taken and someone was riding it. Bike was left and subject riding it was GOA. Checked area with negative contact. Bike was never reported as stolen.
  • Domestic Civil Issue, MPD Lobby, the complainant is stating her ex-husband is providing their 15-year-old son with narcotics. F.I.T. was advised a report is being completed and DFACS is also being notified in regards to narcotics.
  • Welfare Check, Carwood Dr. the aunt of the two children in the residence called stating their mother slapped her 6-year-old daughter. Both children check no visible signs of abuse.
  • The aunt was not on location at the time of the call.  All ok
  • Transport, for C.I.D.arrested DeMarco Unsher, in connection with shooting which occurred at Fuzions.
  • Dispute, Hwy. 138 Chic-Filet, Complainant advised her 17 year old son has mental health concerns and he took her cell phone and left the area. Subject located and turned back over to his mother.
  • Complainant stated that two subjects; jumped him on Alcovy Street on 01/29/2017.  Stated that he was hit with brass knuckles in the mouth.  Report Taken
  • Dispute at Popeye’s, subject stated that her boyfriend, pushed her down in a chair at the Monroe Motor Inn.  Advised of warrant and TPO process. Report taken.
  • Dispute at Sims Gas For Less, Passerby stated that 2 females, and 2 males, were disputing.  Negative contact with any involved parties.
  • Fight at  East Church Street, Clerk advised two male subjects fighting in the store.  Subjects were gone when police arrived.
  • Loitering at Tractor Supply, Several subjects, and vehicles in the parking lot leaving trash by their vehicles.  Subjects told to pick up trash, and vacate area.  10-4
  • Fight at Barron Drive and Custom Way, Third party caller advised of two males fighting in the area, and disconnected.  Negative contact.
  • Entering auto in progress at Church’s Chicken, Vehicle thought to have been entered by complainant.  No signs on entry, nothing taken. Report declined.
  • Follow up at Monroe PD, Complainant wanted charges dropped on a criminal trespass case that she was the victim in.  Advised that I could not do that.
  • Hit and run at 2050 West Spring Street Wal-Mart, Complainant exited Walmart and noticed damage to her vehicle.  Incident found on camera. Report Taken
  • Disabled vehicle 2050 West Spring Street Wal-Mart, 2006 Expedition towed by owners request by Taylors.  Courtesy ride given to occupants to 512 Meadowbrook Court.
  • Death notification at West Fambrough Street, advised that he has no family in Texas and did not know the deceased person.
  • Dispute at 606 Davis Street, Complainant stated that a female is upset with him, and keeps ringing his doorbell.  Complainant stated that he wanted her to see the Police at her house so she would stop.
