MPD Reports: Mental evaluation advised after report of being followed by ‘ghost-faced’ gangsters

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period July 5 – 11, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the first part. Please note and arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Shoplifting – W. Spring St. (Wal-Mart): Mr. Reed had two subjects in his office for skip scanning of merchandise. Report taken. 
  • EMS assist – Bold Springs Ave. Subject was having medical issues but due to her onset of Dementia she becomes aggressive at times. Officers stood by for EMS.
  • Meet With – S. Broad St. Back parking lot; In reference to subject trying to retrieve a cell phone for a subject who is incarcerated in Walton County Jail. She was told she has to call tomorrow when someone is here in the evidence / property room.
  • Dispute – Davis St.: Complainant said her son was pushed down by subject. Complainant did not want to prosecute. Subject was advised to stay at his sisters and leave the kids alone.
  • Domestic – W. Vine St. -Two subjects were verbally disputing. Situation mediated. Parties separated.
  • Dispute – Mountain View Dr.: Complainant stated that subject got upset when asked to stop rocking in the rocking chair. It was damaging his hardwood flooring. Subject was gone on arrival.
  • Parking – Roosevelt St. – In reference to clearing corner so emergency vehicles will not have sight blocked by vehicles. Vehicles moved.
  • Animal Complaint – Etten Dr. in reference to a dog stuck in bushes. Officer assisted the dog out of the bushes. All ok.
  • Dispute – Davis St.; Complainant was involved in a dispute over lost car keys. Complainant located the keys prior to Officer’s arrival and denied further assistance.
  • Asault – Piedmont Walton. Complainant stated she was punched in the head by her boyfriend. Made contact with boyfriend who stated he had not even been in a dispute with her and the only time he saw her today was when she dropped off the kids.
  • Welfare Check – Alcovy St./Breedlove; Subjects advised to stop shooting fireworks in the roadway.
  • Discharging Firearms – Sorrells St. Caller stated multiple subjects were shooting guns. Upon Officers arrival to the area multiple shell casings were located behind resident on Cook Place. Subjects within the residence stated they did not know who was shooting. Due to the nature of the incident a search warrant was conducted of the residence. Reco Thompkins was arrested for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Mercedes Hill was arrested for possession of marijuana less than an ounce. Kamnen Crutchfield was arrested for reckless conduct.
  • Meet with – Piedmont Walton; Subject on location was advised to seek a mental health evaluation after stating “Ghostface gangsters” were following him in Monroe, Gwinnett, Atlanta, and Alabama.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – Towler St. and S. Madison Ave. in reference to a silver passenger car in the roadway obstructing traffic. Officers made contact with a silver 2004 Honda Accord in front of a residence on Towler St. unoccupied. The vehicle was found in a suspicious state but did not return stolen. Officers had negative contact with the registered owner and Athens Clarke County PD did not have any reports. The vehicle was towed by Jay’s and the vehicle was placed on GCIC as recovered/abandoned. Report taken.
  • Damage to Property – S. Broad St. – Monroe Police Department in reference to complainant requesting an incident report due to someone throwing a rock at her vehicle last date. No damage caused to window.
  • Damage to Property – S. Broad St. – MPD. Complainant advised his Toyota Tundra was damaged sometime between Monday and Wednesday. Report taken.
  • Warrant Attempt – Perry St. Reference Kendrick Muckle being on location with an active probation warrant. Muckle was taken into custody and transported to the jail.
  • Dispute – Booth Dr. Complainant stated his nephew entered his vehicle and stole $10 cash. Officers conducted an area check with negative contact. Report taken.
  • Lost Item – S. Madison Ave. and E. Spring St. – Ice Machine. Complainant stated she lost her brown leather wallet possibly near the ice machine. She was unable to locate the wallet when she returned. Report taken.
  • Mental Patient – Palmer Ct. in reference to subject having an episode. She was transported by EMS
  • Juvenile Problem – Walton Athletic 24. W. Spring St. in reference to subject having trouble with 3 teenagers being rude and disruptive. Teens were gone on arrival.
  • Theft – W. Spring St. – Walmart in reference to employee theft. Tysheouna Johnson and Tiffany Mossman arrested for shoplifting. Subjects issued citations and released on copies.
  • Dispute – Glenwood Dr. Third party complaint. Made contact with the subjects at the residence. Dispute over money. All ok.
  • Mental patient – S. Broad St. EMS assist in reference to subject not taking is medication. Turned over to EMS.
  • Shoplifting – W. Spring St., Wal-Mart. Walmart declined to prosecute. All ok.
  • Follow Up – Davis St. – In reference to an earlier theft of bicycles report taken on 07/02/2019.
  • Criminal Investigation Division assist – Knight St. Run-away returned home. Stood by while DFACS completed safety plan, all ok.
