The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Feb. 6 – 13, 2020. Due to the length, this report was split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
- Lost Item – Phone call in reference to a lost temp tag. Advised complainant to keep purchase paperwork in the vehicle until a permanent tag is issued.
- Animal Complaint – J&B Food Mart. The caller advised of a large dog on location keeping people from coming in and out. K9 was gone on arrival.
- Warrant served – Atha St. Assisted two officers who had information that a wanted person was on location. Made contact and turned over to units.
- Wanted person – Atha St. A subject was on location with two active warrants. Contact was made and he was placed under arrest without incident.
- Other Law – PD parking lot. A woman stated that she and her boyfriend had a gun pointed at them while they were at the Haven Inn. She was under the influence of alcohol and was arrest for disorderly conduct.
- Agency Assist – S. Madison Ave. / Davis St: In reference to Stop Sign Down. Dispatch advised to notify City Public Works.
- Harassment – Bridgeport Pl. in reference to complainant claimed his ex’s girlfriend subject is harassing him.
- Suspicious Person – S. Broad St. – In reference to the subject asking people for money.
- the subject was given a ride back to Lacy St.
- Suspicious person – Martin Luther King BLVD in reference to subject concealing items and was taking back out of her pockets. The subject was criminally trespassed from Tractor Supply.
- Transport – A subject was transported from Newton Co. Jail to Walton County Jail on Failure to Appear warrant.
- Dispute – Walton Rd. Dispute between mother and her daughters’ father. Dispute over child custody, they were advised how to handle.
- EMS Assist – Reed Way. 62-year-old Female on location CPR in progress. EMS advised female had passed, notified Criminal Investigation Division and corner.
- Harassment – Towler St. Camptown Gardens. Complainant advised a subject contacted her about wanting to buy furniture at 03:30. She advised she loaded up with the furniture and then subject accused her of stealing $40.00. She advised that she took back the furniture and the subject began texting her. Report Taken
- Traffic stop – W. Spring St., and Paradise Shops of Monroe. A female subject arrested for drug-related objects and brake light violation after a consent search revealed several hypodermic needles and a spoon with residue was located.
- 911 hang up – 3rd St. Verbal dispute between two parties over civil and living arrangements. Situation mediated; parties separated.
- Dispute – Breedlove Dr.; Ridgeview. – Complainant, reported that the staff at Ridgeview was holding her husband against his will. After explaining the hospitals protocol and that I could not make them release him, the complainant was still not happy and stated that she will have a lawyer after the hospital and the Monroe Police Department. Husband was eventually released. Complainant and husband left without incident.
- Juvenile Complaint – Tanglewood Dr. In reference to mother trying to relocate her son for his court date tomorrow on 12 February 2020.
- Dispute – Etten Ct. In reference to complainant advising she was walking out of Walmart when a green in color Ford SUV almost ran her child and her over. Complainant advised that the driver exited his vehicle and displayed a gun to her. Report taken.
