MPD Reports: Multiple doses of Narcan administered before transport to the hospital; homeless issues; pedestrians under the influence

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Aug. 15 – 22, 2024. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Threats – Blaine St; Monroe PD – In reference to complainant reporting a subject was threatening her stemming from a loud music complaint handled previously by day shift units. Advised to contact MPD should subject create any issues. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Vehicle/Overdose – W Spring St; Peach State Bank – In reference to subject being found on location unresponsive. Several doses of NARCAN were administered. Fire and EMS responded, subject was turned over to them. He was transported to Piedmont Walton by EMS. Report taken,
  • Suspicious Person – S Broad St; John’s Supermarket – In reference to a female subject being observed on the sidewalk, and appearing to be in duress. Contact was made, and she advised that she was homeless, which was the reason she was upset. She, however, advised that she had previously been advised of resources. All ok.
  • Disturbing the Peace – Nowell St – In reference to the complainant advising a group of individuals were on location being loud, and that several possibly had warrants. Area checked, with negative contact.
  • Suspicious Person/Foot Pursuit – N Broad St; Graystone Ch – In reference to observing a male subject behind the church while it was closed. He refused to identify himself, and fled on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, the subject was taken into custody and charged with obstruction and loitering. He was transported to the Walton County Jail. Warrants and report taken.
  • Dispute – Masters Dr – in reference to a juvenile showing up to the complainant’s residence and was not supposed to be there. Juveniles’ legal guardian came to pick him up from residence. Juvenile complaint form completed.
  • Dispute – Felker Park gym parking lot – In reference to same juvenile from masters drive getting out of mothers vehicle and being unruly. Juvenile complaint form completed.
  • Suspicious person – Pine Park St/Davis St- In reference to a male subject being heavily intoxicated just standing in the roadway. He became extremely argumentative when asked why he was standing in the roadway. He was taken into custody for pedestrian under the influence and transported to the jail.
  • Dispute – Lawrence St- In reference to multiple people disputing outside, the situation was mediated and parties agreed to separate for the remainder of the night.
  • Traffic Stop/arrest – N Hammond Drive- Traffic stop conducted for failure to maintain lane. It was discovered that the driver, did not have a valid driver’s license. Driver was placed under arrest, transported to the PD, fingerprinted and released on a copy of the citation.
  • TPO Violation – Towler St; – In reference to a report of subject attempting to communicate with a subject against a Temporary Protection Order that is currently in place. No sufficient probable cause to effect an arrest.
  • Suspicious Person – Pavilion Parkway- In reference to subject asking a woman for money in the parking lot. Subject is currently homeless. Subject was given a verbal warning for loitering and sent on her way.
  • Lost Item – Blaine St; MPD- Complainant reporting that he lost his wallet at an unknown location at an unknown time. Report taken.
  • Warrant Service – Chestnut Lane- In reference to locating and apprehending a female subject for an active arrest warrant. She was located, placed under arrest and transported to Walton County Sheriff’s Office without incident.
  • Warrant/Arrest – Little Caesars; W Spring St- Male subject observed driving in his vehicle. He was
  • taken into custody for his outstanding felony warrants out of WCSO. He was transported to the Walton County Jail without incident.
  • Suspicious Person – Maple Ln at E Marable St. Officer was patrolling the area when a male subject was urinating on the sidewalk. He was arrested for Public Drunk and Disorderly Conduct and was transported to the Walton County Jail without incident. Report taken.
  • Traffic Stop/Arrest – N.Midland / E.Spring St – Reference vehicle stopped for broken passenger side tail light, driver arrested for expired license and suspended license, driver released on copies.
  • Juvenile Complaint – Irving St -Complainant called in reference to her juvenile son running away from the residence after damaging property. Report taken, juvenile complaint completed.
  • Traffic Stop/Arrest – Hwy 11/Matson Foodmart – Vehicle stopped for equipment violation. Driver was arrested for an active probation violation warrant. Vehicle turned over to the passenger upon request.
  • Transported to WCSO Jail.Fraud – Johns Supermarket – In reference to a male attempted to cash a fraudulent check for $1800.00. He was located in the parking lot attempting to flee the area and placed under arrest. Checks, Laptop and cellphone turned into evidence, transported to WCSO Jail. The subject was charged with 2 counts of Forgery-2nd degree, 1 count of Forgery-3rd degree and obstruction.
  • Traffic Stop/Arrest – East Church / Lumpkin Street – Vehicle stopped for canceled/expired tag. Driver was arrested for an active FTA warrant out of WCSO along with local charges of Driving while Revoked, False Name and DOB, and DOC. Vehicle towed by Taylors. The subject was transported to WCSO Jail without further incident.
  • Threats Report – Davis Street – In reference to complainant stating that a subject threatened her with a firearm earlier this date. Report taken.
  • Traffic Stop/arrest – S Broad St at Hardee’s. In reference to a subject pulled over for window tint. Driver arrested for driving on Suspended license. Vehicle towed by Taylor’s.
