MPD Reports: Multiple residence party, stolen vehicle and repossession dispute

The City of Monroe reported the following incidents for the period March 4 – 11, 2021. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Civil Matter – Lacy Street. In reference to Speedy Recovery Services needing assistance on running vehicle information on a repossession. Vehicle owner has owned the vehicle for approximately two years, and possessed the title not owing any money. The original seller did not pay off the lien when the car was sold. Civil matter worked out between the owner and repo driver. All ok. 

Suspicious Vehicle – Plaza Drive two subjects in a Honda Accord Possible using narcotics. One subject was given a citation for possession of marijuana. 

Theft – Green Street – Two parties disputing over property. Report taken. 

Dispute – Perry Street Mother having her 2-year of age son taken by a subject without permission from the residence. He was arrested for interference with child custody and taken to the jail. 

Welfare Check – Martin Luther King Jr Blvd: In reference to an animal left in the vehicle for approximately 30 mins. Contact was made with subject who was advised to leave the window down some for ventilation for the animal. 

Stolen Vehicle – North Madison Street Complainant stating his vehicle was taken from the residence during sometime within the past 24 hours. Complainant was unsure what type of vehicle he had and was not able to provide any information regarding the vehicle type, VIN, or tag. He was advised to contact back once he discovered the information. 

Fraud – South Broad St -Reference to complainant requesting a report for fraudulent activity on her Cash App and Barrow App. Report taken. 

Disturbing the Peace – Parkway Drive – Multiple residences were having a party in the area, both residences were advised of noise ordinance and to not block the roadway with vehicles. 

Suspicious Person – E Church – a male subject on location trying to open other people’s vehicle. He was Criminally trespassed from this location. 

Road Rage – S Broad St -Subject was in a dispute with subject over tax refund money and disputing with third party. Report taken.
