MPD Reports: Naked man with suspected mental health issues picked up in driveway and taken to his grandmother’s home

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Jan. 14 – 21, 2021. Due to the length, this report was split into five parts. This is the fourth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Dispute – Ford St. Apt. 5. Verbal civil dispute over living arrangements. Parties were advised of civil remedies. One subject advised his mother was on her way to pick him up. All ok. 

Mental Subject/Suspicious Person – Mill Street. In reference to a black male wearing no clothes and standing in the driveway. Subject was transported to his home at Mountain Creek Ch Rd and turned over to his grandmother. 

Dispute – Walker Dr. In reference to a dispute between the complainant’ daughter and boyfriend. Verbal dispute only over property. Situation mediated. 

Burglary Report – New Lacy St. In reference to the complainant advising that they just returned home to find that their residence was broken in to. No items were reported taken. Report taken. 

Dispute – Davis St. In reference to the complainant advising that there is a dispute at a named house involving juveniles on location yelling and screaming to leave their grandma alone. Complainant was unable to provide any further description of the residence.

Dispute – Green St. In reference to the complainant advising that they were about to turn their power off, due to the people that live with them owe $700. Remedies were advised over civil matter. All ok. 

Juvenile Complaint – Overlook Crest. In reference to a 16-year-old male who left the residence on foot after a dispute with his sister. The 16-year-old subject was picked up along Michael Etchison Rd and transported home. Nothing further. 

Dispute – Sherwood Dr. In reference to the complainant’s brother on location refusing to leave. Subject was gone prior to officer arrival. All ok. 

Mental Patient – Felker St. In reference to the complainant believing that his neighbors are harassing him. Area was checked per complainants request for a female outside his bedroom window. Negative contact. 

Dispute – Windsor Drive Complainant and her son were involved in a physical dispute. The son left the scene before Officers arrival. Charges will be filed for the subject – warrants for Simple Battery, Criminal Trespass and False Imprisonment. 

South Broad Street (Dollar General): Female subject left the store with miscellaneous food items in a book bag. When approached by staff, the book bag was dropped in the parking lot. A driver’s license and cell phone belonging to the subject were located in the bag. Officer’s made contact with her Daniel at Tall Oaks West where she was arrested for Theft by Shoplifting. She was fingerprinted and released on copy of citation. 

Suspicious Person – East Church Street: seeing suspicious persons again. Subject located in the area and asked not to return to residence. Warning given for panhandling. 

Damage to Property – MLK Jr Blvd hit and run that occurred on 01/16/2021 at Walmart. Report taken. 

Juvenile Complaint – Stewart Ct subject acting unruly. 

Shoplifting – W Spring St Female subject shoplifting clothing items. She was cited and released on copy. 

Dispute – George Walton Homes Complainant getting a gun pulled on him by “Diego”, area checked no contact. 

Suspicious Person – MLK Jr Blvd Male subject shouting in the parking lot and exposing his genitals. He was arrested for public indecency, disorderly conduct, and loitering. 

Domestic Dispute – Landers St. Reference to two subject involved in a domestic dispute. During Dispute, one struck the subject with an open hand twice. Warrant for Simple Battery / Family Violence taken. 

Traffic Offense – E Church St & Tall Oaks. Reference a blue Jeep Liberty stopped for a non-functioning brake light. Further investigation led to the arrest of a male and a female subject for Possession of Schedule I, Possession of Schedule II, Possession of Drug Related Objects.
