MPD Reports: Overdose death, threats over nude photos and juveniles maced during affray

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Oct. 12 – 18, 2018. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute an arrest.

  • Dispute, Hubbard St., the complainant is renting a room from another party at the residence who is renting the residence from named owner and is upset that owner entered the residence unannounced. The owner was advised to have the renting parties evicted if he doesn’t want them on location. The complainant was advised that the owner owns the residence and can come on location anytime he wants. There is no written agreement between the parties.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Cook St., the complainant advised a group of juveniles came to her residence trying to fight her children. She was unable to give names of the juveniles. Officer patrolled the area for the juveniles and had negative contact.
  • Unknown Law, Wheel House Ln., complaint reference to an unknown male knocking on the door. The complainant advised she believed they had the wrong house and they left. All ok.
  • Dispute, West Creek Circle, Dispute between a juvenile and named subject. The juvenile was sent home for the night. All ok.
  • Threats, North Midland Ave., mother stated that her 13-year-old daughter was talking to a male on social media. During the course of the conversation nude pictures were exchanged.  The male began threatening the daughter stating he was going to send the pictures to her friends. Report Taken
  • Assault Report, Piedmont Walton, reference to a male subject being assaulted on Church street by three unknown subjects near Chestnut Cupboard. Male subject did not wish to file a report or proceed any further.
  • EMS Assist, Atha St., reference to CPR in progress. The male subject was given Narcan and transported to Piedmont Medical Center. The male subject was pronounced deceased at Piedmont Walton. Coroner responded and took over the scene.
  • Theft, Huddle House, employees stated customers placed an online order.  The customers came earlier than the time for pickup and showed the employees the confirmation. Customers left with food at 0015 hours a receipt was printed that stated the credit card was declined.  After speaking to employees, they decided it would be best to speak to corporate and their manager before making a report.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Hwy 78E towards Monroe in reference to a gold Saturn. The complainant advised a B/F was smoking with children inside the vehicle. County made contact with the vehicle and had no probable cause to stop it.
  • Warrant Served, Athens-Clarke County Jail, reference to Travis Wilson. Wilson was arrested, fingerprinted, and transported to WCSO.
  • Road Rage, Highway 11/Pleasant Valley Rd., reference to two tractor trailers driving reckless heading towards the city. Officer made contact with both vehicles, no violations were observed.
  • Dispute, Carver Place, reference to two subjects verbally disputing over funeral arrangements. The situation was mediated, parties separated. Everything on location ok.
  • Dispute, Radford St., Verbal dispute between two subjects about food being left in a microwave. Parties separated.
  • Shoplifting, West Spring St., Walmart, a female subject was stopped for skip scanning approximately $22 worth of merchandise. Walmart declined to prosecute. The female subject was served with a criminal trespass warning for two years.
  • Burglary, Custom Way, reference to complainant finding the back window of one of his properties knocked into the residence. Report taken.
  • Shoplifting, West Spring St., Walmart, the subject was stopped for skip scanning approximately $26 worth of merchandise. Walmart declined prosecution. The subject was served with a criminal trespass warning for two years.
  • Dispute, North Broad St., Valero, reference to two subjects physically disputing. The subjects were GOA.
  • Harassment, Parkway Place, reference to subject’s aunt telling her family she was going to fight another subject if she messed with her kids over Facebook. The subject was informed of the process of obtaining a TPO against the other subject.
  • Welfare Check, Pilot Park, reference to a homeless female with her 1-year old child. Officer made contact with female whom stated she did not have anywhere to go for the night. Officer made contact with FISH. Female was advised to exhaust all her options first, then recontact if she still did not have anywhere to go.
  • Dispute/Fight, Pine Park St., reference to several juveniles fighting. Some of the juveniles were maced during the altercation.
  • Dispute, Wilkins Dr., reference to male subject arriving at the home without permission. He was told to leave and was given a ride away from the home.
  • Dispute, Millstone Bluff, reference to the parties from a dispute day shift handed coming over to Millstone Bluff and attempting to assault the suspects.  Adrienna Wyatt and another subject. Adrianne Wyatt was arrested for disorderly conduct.
  • Assault, South Madison Ave., Walton County Sheriff Office Lobby. Met with mother and her daughter reference to the earlier fight on Pine Park. She stated she wanted to speak with an officer in regard to her daughter being present during the altercation. She was given the contact information for the investigating officer.  All Ok.
  • Assault, Carver Place, a physical altercation occurred between two juveniles.  Report taken.
  • Civil Matter, Colquitt St., met with the complainant who stated her husband was wanting his keys back. He obtained the keys and left on foot to return home. All Ok
  • Traffic Stop, Hwy 78/Jim Daws Road – Xavier Rucker stopped for multiple traffic violations.  A probable cause search of his vehicle resulted in Mr. Rucker and his rear seat passenger, Joseph Clark, being arrested for possession of marijuana with intent.  Approximately 2 1/2 ounces of marijuana was found inside the vehicle.
  • Loud Music, Store House Court, Music was coming from a white Saturn Ion.  The owner was advised to turn the volume down.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, South Madison, Hwy 11. Light grey Toyota passenger car with occupants allegedly throwing trash. No contact with the vehicle.
  • Disturbance, GW Carver Dr., reference to a large group of juveniles being loud – The juveniles were located in front of the police precinct and they were advised to talk less loudly.
  • Dispute, Red Oak Court, Parties were intoxicated and wanted to be separated.   One of the individuals acquired a ride home from Red Oak Court.
