MPD Reports: Patient refused to give source of injuries; suicide threat and rape that did not occur

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Feb. 11 – 18, 2021. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Identity theft – Knight St. Complainant reported her social security number stolen. Report taken. 

Dispute – West 5th St. two parties disputing over items in the residence. Parties mediated. 

Suspicious person – West Spring St., Walmart. In reference to a student having a bad reaction to a vape pen she smoked. 

Dispute – West Spring St., Family Dollar. Clerk reported an unruly customer. Contact made with subject who was advised not to come back. 

Harassment – Walker Dr. Complainant advised subject harassing her. Complainant advised of available remedies. 

Burglary – Turner St. In reference to the complainant advising that someone attempted to break through their front door. No burglary occurred; complainant was unable to get her key in the door. Nothing further. 

Suspicious Vehicle – US 78 at Cherry Hill Rd. In reference to a silver Lexus with no lights on going westbound. Complainant advised that they have lost visual. Negative contact, the area was checked. 

Dispute – Tanglewood Dr. In reference to a subject on location making threats to the complainant. subject was gone when officers arrived. Complainant was advised to contact 911 when he returns. 

Suicide Threats – S Madison Ave. In reference to a 13-year-old female who made suicide threats on a handwritten note. Officers spoke to the juvenile who agreed to go with her parents to the hospital. 

Narcotics – Alcovy St. In reference to the complainant advising that there are several subjects on location. Negative contact with anyone at residence. 

Firearms – Tanglewood Dr. Complainant advised they heard 5-7 shots in the area. Area check conducted with negative contact. 

Dispute – E Spring St, 105. Monroe Motor Inn. In reference to a dispute in the room. Occupants in the room advised that everything was ok and that there was no dispute. All ok. 

Rape – Hwy 138. Chick-Fil-A. In reference to the complainant advising that they received a phone call from their mother and their mother stated that she was being assaulted by a male in the parking lot. Complainant advised their mother was intoxicated and everything was ok and there was no rape that had occurred. All ok. 

Missing Person – S Broad St. In reference to a subject, 12-year-old. Complainant advised he was last seen around 1800 hours, wearing jeans and a maroon shirt, walking a Chihuahua. Report taken. 

Assault – W Spring St. Piedmont Walton. In reference to a male patient in the ER with injuries but will not advise the staff what happened or where.
