MPD Reports: Person arrested following dispute over neighborhood kids

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Nov. 7 – 14, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Dispute – E. Spring St. Auto Zone. Customer and employee argument in reference to returning items. Parties separated. 
  • Dispute – W. Marable St. Subjects on location arguing over living arrangements. Parties separated
  • Burglary – Ridge Rd. in reference to the complainant having her residence broke into. A PlayStation 4 was reported missing but the complainant was unable to provide a serial number at the time of the call.
  • Welfare Check – 4th St. – Subject was found deceased during a welfare check. Extensive medical history. Criminal Investigation Division responded to the scene which is standard protocol.
  • Dispute – Bridgeport Pl. Upon Officer arrival parties on location were uncooperative with giving information.
  • Theft – Roosevelt St. – Complainant stated subject took his wallet. The area was checked for the subject but she was not located. Report taken.
  • Domestic Dispute – E. Fambrough St. (Hillside Apartments): in reference to complainant’s grandson pushing her because she asked him about her car door. Warrant to be taken for Simple Battery (Family Violence), report made.
  • EMS Assist – Union St.: 3-year-old girl found not breathing in her bedroom. CPR was attempted by EMS but was later pronounced dead by EMS on the scene.
  • Threats – Ridge Rd.: Met with the complainant who stated that a patron made threats to fight him. Report taken.
  • Dispute – King St. in reference to the complainant being upset that the father of her child left with their child. The complainant was advised of remedies and explained how to handle the matter through the courts.
  • Child Custody -Atha St. Complainant was worried for her grandchild’s wellbeing. She thinks that her daughter is not providing for the child and had questions about what she could do to help him.
  • Mental Person – E. Spring St. – In reference to subject wanting to be transported to Piedmont Walton for voluntary committal.
  • Damage to Property – Wheelhouse Lane in reference to 2 black males and 2 black females kicking in the front door. The apartment was vacant, office staff was notified, report made.
  • Fire Arms – Carwood Dr.: Caller advises 4 juveniles on bicycles with firearms. Made contact at Reed St. / Carwood Dr. All ok.
  • Dispute – Magnolia Ter. The complainant stated that she was assaulted by the subject. The incident took place over a dispute involving their kids. The subject was arrested and taken to the Walton County Jail.
  • Harassment – E. Washington St.- Complainant claimed her ex and the family members were harassing her on social media. There were no threats made to harm her.
