MPD Reports: Person believing he is locked in outside bathroom at a gas station calls police to help him get out

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period June 5 – 11, 2026. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the first part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

• Juvenile Complaint – Woodland Dr – Complainant stated a b/m was riding an electric moped very fast and they worried about other children in the area. Area check conducted but not a single child was seen in the area.
• Fraud – Carwood Dr – In reference to complainant reporting an additional debit card stolen from his mailbox. Report from last date updated.
• 911 open line – Lacy St – In reference to a 911 only phone calling 911 5 times. Upon arrival, no signs of distress or disturbance. No one in the area heard anything out of the norm. All okay.
• Burglary Report – Tall Oaks W – In reference to someone entering the home, and taking two PlayStation 5 controllers. Dusted for fingerprints on unlocked windows and the TV near where the controllers were kept. Possible fingerprints documented with evidence and report taken.
• 911 Hang Up – Pine Park St – 911 hang up no voice contact. Checked the location and several other locations but negative contact.
• Loud Music – Davis St & Magnolia St – In reference to loud music being played, checked the area and found no loud music. All okay.
• Alarm – Carwood Dr – In reference to an alarm company calling for the front door alarm of this address. Home owner on scene when officers arrived, house secure. He forgot to close the door all the way.
• Traffic Accident w/ Injuries – S Broad St – Single vehicle MVA with serious / life threatening injuries. GSP handled while MPD units blocked the roadway.
• Alarm – S Midland Ave – In reference to 2nd floor motion alarm going off. All doors are secure.
• Loud Music – Gliding Ln – In reference to loud bass music being played. Checked the area. No music. All okay.
• Business Alarm – North Broad Street – In reference to Monroe Mercantile having issues with their alarm system. The call was canceled by employees on location.
• Funeral Escort – West Washington Street – In reference to assisting the Walton County Sheriff’s Office with a funeral escort.
• Dispute – Tall Oaks W – In reference to a dispute between neighbors over property damage. Report taken.
• Alarm – Hubbard St. Alarm cleared prior to arrival.
• Roadway Blocked – Pavilion Parkway; Publix – In reference to a road sign laying in the roadway. Negative contact in the area.
• 911 Hang-up/static – Bryant Rd – Contact was made with the homeowner which advised everything was ok.
• Suspicious Vehicle – 6th St – In reference to a vehicle driving down the roadway blaring its horn. Vehicle was determined to be a FISH vehicle distributing food. Civil remedies advised.
• Traffic Stop/Arrest – Felker St at E Spring St. – In reference to Subject being stopped for a traffic offense. The front seat passenger was found to have a felony probation warrant for his arrest out of the Walton County Sheriff’s Office. He was arrested and turned over to the Walton County Jail without incident.
• Threats – Boulevard – In reference to the complainant disputing with Catch 22 on Facebook regarding a negative review. Report taken.
• Dispute – Tall Oaks West – In reference to a dispute between juveniles on location. Parent was notified and responded to the location.
• Dispute call – Tanglewood Dr. – In reference to subject who is on probation, another subject bought alcohol and had it delivered to the residence. Subject’s probation conditions state that he cannot have alcohol inside of the residence. Attempts were made to contact his probation officer with negative contact. Door Dash returned the alcohol back to the store without issue.
• Private property accident – Pavilion Parkway Ulta – 2 vehicles no injuries, Gears report
• Traffic Stop/ Arrest – East Church St / Pine Park St – In reference to a named subject being stopped for a traffic violation. Probable cause search conducted due to the heavy odor of marijuana coming from the contents of the vehicle. The subject was subsequently arrested for obstruction.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Maple St – In reference to two dirt bikes being driven in the field behind the Masonic Lounge. The individuals were gone when officers arrived.
• Other Law – E Spring St. Taylor’s Wrecker Service – In reference to subject being locked in the outside bathroom. Contact was made with the business owner, who stated the door does not lock but can be difficult to open. I was able to open the door and allow subject out without issue.
• Hit and Run – Pavilion Parkway- In reference to a Chevrolet Equinox striking two vehicles in the Pavilion Parkway shopping center parking lot and then absconding from the scene. Report taken and sent to the traffic unit for further investigation. Accident report taken in GEARS.
• Wanted Person – Magnolia Ter – In reference to an anonymous complainant advising that subject was on location with active warrants.
• Suspicious Vehicle – West Spring Street – In reference to a Toyota Four Runner unable to maintain its lane and brake checking other vehicles. Area was checked with negative contact.
• 911 Hang-up – Tall Oaks W – In reference to the complainant advising her son was trying to bust out the windows around the residence. Juvenile left the location prior to Officer’s arrival and no damage to any windows was observed. Complainant advised that juvenile stated he was going to run away and was observed leaving with two white trash bags full of clothes. The area was checked with negative contact with juvenile. Juvenile was placed on GCIC as a runaway and a CHINS report was completed and submitted.
• Theft Report – S Broad St – In reference to the complainant claiming subject stole a Motorola Cell Phone and two Tab 9 tablets off of her back porch. Complainant was unable to provide any serial numbers for the electronics and was asked if she saw anything in subject’s hands as he was walking away to which she advised no. The area was checked and negative contact was made with subject. Report taken.
• Vehicle Lockout – Towler St – In reference to a Ford Expedition. Vehicle unlocked, no damage.
• 911 Hang-Up – West Spring St / Pep Boys – Employees on location, advised everything was ok.
• 911 Hang-Up – East Spring St / Walton EMS – All doors secured. No vehicles on location. All ok.
• Area check – N Broad St. – Officers responded in reference to a tent located on the complainant’s property. The tent was cleared by officers, and the complainant was advised to remove the tent to prevent future issues on the property.
• Alarm – N Broad St; Graystone Church – In reference to an unsecure rear door. The building was cleared, all appeared ok. Key holder was notified.
