MPD Reports: Possible kidnapping; assaults and disputes over evictions, no socks on child

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Nov. 25 – 29, 2018. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the first part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Meet with Officer, North Broad St. near Bojangles, reference to a female walking to work in the fog. Complainant wanted Officer to give the female a ride to work. Female was taken to Walmart.
  • Dispute, West Creek Circle, reference to mother verbally disputing with her daughter over her not putting socks on her son. Situation mediated.
  • Damage to Property, Baron Dr., the complainant advised someone slashed the rear tires on her Chevrolet Monte Carlo during the night.
  • Dispute, Custom Way, reference to a physical domestic dispute between Brianna Brown and male subject. Brown was arrested for Battery – FV and Criminal Damage to Property. She was fingerprinted and transported to the Jail.
  • Assault, Armistead Circle, complainant stated that her cousin struck her twice during a dispute. The incident was witnessed by a male subject. The cousin was gone when officers arrived. Warrant To Be Taken for FV simple battery against the cousin.
  • Damage to Property, Great Oaks Dr., Sears, worked advised unknown subject/s threw eggs on some of the lawn tractors. Sears requested a report for recording purposes. The camera that is installed by the front door is not active. Report Taken
  • Dispute, South Broad St., two subjects were verbally disputing over rent and eviction. Both parties were advised of remedies.
  • Damage to Property, Hickory Dr., Officer made contact with the complainant who advised on 11/21/18 she noticed damage to the rear of her car. She was unsure of where it occurred. She already has filed a claim through her insurance and requested a report for insurance purposes.
  • Dispute, Sorrells St., Officer made contact with the complainant who advised named female threw his stuff out. Officer spoke to both parties and advised of the eviction process. Both parties were intoxicated. All ok.
  • Traffic Stop, blue trailblazer bearing tag# was run through GCIC and returned with no valid insurance and expired tag. The driver was stopped and cited for No Insurance, Expired Tag, and Brake Light requirements. The vehicle was towed by towing co..
  • Follow Up, Armistead Circle, reference to obtaining video evidence from the earlier call. Additional warrant to be taken for reckless conduct.
  • Shoplifting, West Spring St., Walmart. Kendall Kiper was arrested for shoplifting. She was fingerprinted and released.
  • Custody Dispute, Baron Dr., reference to mother saying father has not brought their child home yet. Spoke with the father who made an agreement with mother to bring the child home tomorrow.
  • Harassing calls, Tyler St., met with complainant after reviewing messages I determined there to be mutual trash talk and threats.  The complainant was advised to discontinue communication and pursue further action only if threats continued after the fact. The complainant was intoxicated.
  • Juvenile Issue, Stewart Ct., reference to juvenile having an emotional outburst and scaring the family. Spoke with parents and advised them of the medical process. The juvenile stated she did want to speak with somebody about her emotions. All ok.
  • Suicide Threats, Sorrells St., a male subject was transported to Piedmont Walton at his request to be evaluated.
  • Domestic, Monroe PD, reference to Martin Hart wanting his son and son’s girlfriend removed from the house on West Washington St. Was advised of the eviction process.
  • Civil Issue, South Broad St., met with the complainant who had an issue with her landlord turning off utilities. She was advised of the civil process. All ok,
  • Agency Assist, reference to WCSO Units looking for Black Dodge Truck driven by named male subject due to a possible kidnapping. Vehicle located at Waffle House on HW 78 with named driver. Turned over to Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Prowler, Plantation Dr. Met with the complainant who advised an unknown subject tried to remove window a/c unit to enter the home. No signs of disturbance on the unit. All ok.
  • Follow Up, Plantation Dr., the complainant stated the subjects returned and a named male subject is the one Prowling around the house due to complainant discovering named male subject alias. Complainant claimed to hear the subjects while officers on location and officers did not see or notice what complainant was experiencing.  All Ok.
