MPD Reports: Report by subject that her door was kicked in and her marijuana stolen

The City of Monroe reported the following incidents for the period Feb. 17 to March 5, 2020. Due. to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the fourth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Welfare Check – Indian Creek Dr. Door breached due to 81-year-old  with an extensive cancer history. Subject located with apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Criminal Investigation Division responded as well as Coroner. 
  • Illegal Dumping – W. Spring St. – Car Wash in reference to two w/f’s dumping clothes in the garbage. Subjects were gone on arrival. Report declined.
  • Dispute – S. Madison Ave., JB Auto Sales. Civil issue over $40 for rented parking space, situation mediated.
  • Burglary – Felker St. in reference to the complainant having the back door to her residence kicked in by juveniles. Several items were stolen from inside the residence.
  • Assault call – W. Spring St., Wal-Mart. An employee advised that an unknown male customer slapped her buttocks.
  • Theft Report – W. Spring St. in reference to purse, and phone stolen from a cart. A case number was given. The report will be done. The purse was found at 1645 Hours in Roses. No report to be made.
  • Agency Assist – HWY 78 E. in reference to Walton County Deputy was following a suspicious vehicle that was at the Monroe Elementary school. Turned over to WCSO.
  • Dispute – Launius Ave. in reference to the complainant arguing with her boyfriend. Upon Officers arrival, the boyfriend was gone and the complainant said they had a verbal argument.
  • Burglary – Perry St. in reference to the tenant reported her front door kicked in and her marijuana missing.
  • Dispute – Classic Trail in reference to a non-domestic verbal dispute between juveniles. Parties separated. All ok.
  • Domestic – 3rd St. In reference to complainant got into a physical altercation with her boyfriend located at Maple St.
  • Dispute – W. Spring St. – In reference to customer mad and irate. The customer was gone on arrival of officers.
  • Dispute – E. Church St. @ Wall St. in reference to subjects disputing in the street. Subjects separated, All ok.
  • Traffic Stop – Harris @ Davis St. in reference to subject related to shooting investigation.
  • Civil Matter – Davis St. in reference to a civil matter over clothing. The complainant was advised on the civil process and how to follow up with magistrate court.
  • Dispute – E. Spring S. (Motor Inn): In reference to complainant wanting subject out of her vehicle. The subject exited the vehicle. All Okay.
  • Dispute – In reference to the subject being disruptive and refusing to leave Boost Mobile. She was issued a criminal trespass notice.
  • Suspicious person – Broad St. Chevron. The caller advised of a white truck on location selling drugs. Made contact with the vehicle, they allowed a search of their vehicle, nothing was found and they were sent on their way.
  • Dispute – Launius Ave. An argument between roommates. Both parties agreed to separate for the evening.
  • Damage to Property – Breedlove Dr. In reference to a patient breaking fire suppression sprinklers as well as blocking drains in the shower, causing flooding and damages estimated to be in excess of several hundred thousand dollars. Arrested for Criminal Damage to Property 2nd Degree
