MPD Reports: Report of theft at knifepoint, entering auto while victim was at local restaurant

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period March 8 – 13, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into six parts. This is the 5th part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Theft Report – Oak Ridge in reference to complainant having her mail stolen out of her mailbox on the 6th of March. Report taken.
  • Traffic Stop – W. Spring St./Etten Dr. Nicholas Charo was stopped for driving on suspended license. After a probable cause search, a glass pipe and baggy with residue were located. Items were turned into evidence to be destroyed and Charo was fingerprinted and released on a copy of the citation.
  • Entering Auto – S. Broad St. in reference to complainant having items stolen out of her 2002 White Chevrolet Avalanche while visiting the Tokyo Sushi & Hibachi restaurant.
  • Lost Item – South Broad St. – MPD in reference to complainant reporting his wallet lost. He stated he lost his wallet at the Spring Street Laundry last date. Report taken.
  • Meet with Officer – Sorrells St./Cook St. Subject advised he was being accused of touching his granddaughter. See below call.
  • Assault – W. Spring St. – Piedmont Walton. The complainant advised subject inappropriately touched her child. Report taken. Criminal Investigation Div. responded.
  • Dispute – Masters Dr. – ref: Male and Female getting in an argument over child custody.  Female provided a statement of physical altercation with physical evidence and Steven Fown was arrested, printed and turned over to the jail staff.
  • Found Property – E. Church St. – ref: found wallet of the earlier complaint. Robbery – S. Broad St.- ref: to unknown male holding knife to the neck of a subject and taking $75. Occurred at Hulsey Concrete. Criminal Investigation Div. notified.
  • Dispute – Maple Lane – Complainant advised her and her husband were in a verbal argument. Parties separated. All ok.
  • Warrant Served – S. Madison at the Walton County Sheriff’s Office – Lykendra Sorrells was served with an MPD warrant while being booked into the Walton County Jail.
  • Suspicious Person – MLK JR Blvd – Valero in reference to subject sleeping in her 2002 White Ford Escape and refusing to leave. The subject stated she pulled over due to her hip hurting. She refused medical treatment. The subject was escorted off the property.
  • Dispute – Baron Dr. – ref: to Subject advising a W/F forced her way into the residence. Subject advised that she was holding the W/F down. The subject is a mental patient and was in a physical altercation with the complainant. The complainant declined charges and the subject was escorted to Advantage where she was released into their care for a mental evaluation.
