MPD Reports: Resident from personal care home charged in assault on 84-year-old

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Feb. 25 – March 4, 2021. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Threats – E Fambrough St. In reference to the complainant advising that a subject called them and stated that they were going to shoot up the residence. Complainant said he doesn’t know who keeps calling him but wants extra patrol of his residence. 

Stolen Vehicle – Masters Dr. In reference to the complainant stating that they invited their friend and his girlfriend over to the residence and they stole the complainant’s 2016 silver Nissan SUV (CLF5921). Complainant was sleeping when the vehicle was taken. The vehicle was entered into GCIC. Report made. 

Suspicious Vehicle – W Spring St. Waffle House. In reference to a red passenger car with a male inside who appears to be sleeping per the complainant and has been on location for approximately two hours. Contact made with occupant who advised he was taking a nap due to having a long drive ahead of him. All ok. 

Stolen Vehicle – Ridge Road. Complainant reported his vehicle that was left unlocked with the key in it was stolen overnight. Report taken. 

Fight – West Spring St., Family Dollar. Male subject arrested after throwing 84-year-old subject to the ground. He was arrested for Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Battery, Elder Abuse, criminal attempt to commit rape, indecent exposure, false imprisonment, simple battery, solicitation for prostitution and loitering and prowling. CID notified. 

Missing person – East Church St., Marable Manor. Personal care home wanting to report a subject missing. They were advised he is in custody reference to the above call. 

Follow up – Victim was advised of available help as well as a follow up appointment with a Detective. Theft report – Stone Creek Way. Ref to a wallet taken from Pilot Park. 

Suspicious vehicle – HW78EB. Ref to a speeding motorcycle. Walton County Sheriff’s Office advised as vehicle left city limits before officers could get to area. 

Dispute – West Spring St., Burger King. Irate customer upset over an order. Customer left prior to officers’ arrival, all ok. 

Dispute – Lacy St In reference to a large amount of vehicles and subjects in front of the complainant’s residence refusing to leave. Area check conducted, all appeared ok. 

Follow Up – Masters Dr. In reference to case. Vehicle was returned and taken off of GCIC. 

Fight – Old Mill Rn. In reference to multiple subjects fighting near the basketball court per the complainant. Area check conducted, all appeared ok. 

Suspicious Person – W Spring St. Walmart. In reference to the complainant advising a subject is on location panhandling. Contact was made with the subject, who was advised to leave the area. 

Suspicious Vehicle – E Spring St. Storage Facility. In reference to a light colored passenger car with tinted windows. Driver pulled over to talk on phone. All ok.
