MPD Reports: Rock thrown through window, report of 7-year-old assaulted on school bus

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Nov. 7 – 14, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the first part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Suspicious Person – Double Springs Church Road.- In reference to Dontrail Hutchins loitering in area. Hutchins arrested for multiple warrants out of four agencies. 
  • Suspicious Vehicle -Walgreens: Vehicle was seen failing to maintain lane. The driver explained his gear shiftier was acting up.
  • Burglary Report – Overlook Trail: Homeowners mother advised that someone has come into her daughters’ house while she has been out of town. Complainant said she found pizza boxes and beer cans inside the house, that weren’t there when she came by to check on the house earlier in the week.
  • Dispute – S. Broad St. – Southside Mobile Home Park: Met with complainant who stated that she was in a verbal argument with subject about the living arrangements. Situation was mediated.
  • Dispute – Tall Oaks E.: Complainant stated her son threaten her. After speaking with other witnesses, it was apparent complainant was the one starting the issue. Son was gone on arrival.
  • Area Check – Piedmont-Walton in reference to a lock down which was called in to Chief Watts. Area Check conducted, Walton County Sheriff’s Office was doing a high-profile prisoner transport. All ok.  (Kinterie Durden was transported to the hospital due to complaint of illness during his murder trial).
  • Suspicious Vehicle – 2nd St. / S. Broad St.t: Caller advises vehicle driving reckless traveling northbound. Area Check. Negative contact.
  • Fraud – Great Oaks Dr. (Walton Family Medicine): Met with complainant who stated that a forged signature of one of their doctor’s prescription was presented at the Wal-Mart Pharmacy in Loganville. Report taken.
  • Warrant Attempt – Hwy 138 Chick-Fil-A: Zachrey Clack and Destiny Rash are wanted out of Barrow County and were seen eating at this location. Left in a 2012 Ford Explorer with Ga Tag #DEST.
  • Shoplifting – Sprint. Staff advised that a phone was taken on Oct. 10th, and would like a report. They stated that a black male wearing a red shirt took a Note 10 off the display table. Report taken.
  • Traffic Control -Michael Etchison Rd. / Hwy 138: GDOT requested units for traffic control to replace the traffic light system.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – Hwy 78 – In reference to possible intoxicated driver. Subject pulled over by WCSO.
  • Follow Up Juvenile Runaway – N. Madison Ave. -Juvenile returned home safely.
  • Burglary in progress – Custom Way; Complainant stated someone kicked in his back door and ran off. Complainant did not see anyone. No damage was observed, no foot prints were located in the wet mud in the yard, and a K9 did not locate a track in the area. Extra patrol requested due to subject “stalking” the complainants’ wife.
  • Diminished capacity – W. Creek Cir. in reference to subject having issues with psych meds. Subject agreed to allow his father to transport him to the hospital for evaluation.
  • Juvenile Problem – E. Fambrough St.; – Complainant reported her 13-year-old son not listening. Son was spoken to.
  • Theft Report – Springer Lane; Complainant reported a wallet and $130 taken while receiving a massage on location.
  • Juvenile Complaint – Double Springs Ch Rd – Walton County Board of Education in reference to complainant reporting that her 7-year-old son was assaulted on the bus. Report taken
  • Illegal Dumping – Reed St. in reference to a black unknown vehicle dumping items in front of a vacant residence. Extra patrol requested.
  • Damage to Property – Bryant Rd. Complainant reported a large rock was thrown through the bathroom window. Contact made with next door neighbor who is a possible suspect.
