The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Jan. 28 to Feb. 4, 2021. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Suspicious Vehicle – N Broad St /Church St. Complainant advised that a red passenger vehicle was failing to maintain lane. Officer made contact and observed the vehicle fail to maintain lane. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was arrested for DUI drugs.
Unauthorized Use of Vehicle – Nowell Street Subjects’ goddaughter using his vehicle without his permission. Vehicle was returned and subject did not wish to press charges. Nothing further.
Dispute – Plaza Dr Subject physically disputing with his girlfriend/mother of his child. Subject was gone when officers arrived, Report made.
Suspicious vehicle – North Broad St., Da Grande. Located a running vehicle by a side door during area check. Windows and doors of building were secure, the subject was issued a citation for suspended registration and no license on person and was sent on his way.
Dispute – West Creek Cir. A subject was arrested for simple battery on victim. Report was made and he was transported to the Walton County jail.
Suspicious vehicle -Breedlove Dr. and West Spring St. Ref to a 4 door Colorado failing to maintain lane. The vehicle stopped at McDaniel and Breedlove.
Suspicious Vehicle – Armistead Circle ref to a Honda on location for aprox 20 min honking horn. Contact made with mechanic fixing a vehicle, all ok.
Hit and run -South Broad St., MPD. Area of East and West Spring St. searched or a yellow Camaro with negative contact. Report and pictures were added. No injuries reported. Vehicle was located and the driver had conflicting stories with the complainant.
Follow up – Bridgeport Pl. Camaro from above located at this address with corresponding damage.
Civil issue – Nowell St. Comp from a previous call now on location to retrieve items with a trailer. Advised to make an apt. with WCSO civil division.
Damage to Property – Hwy 138. Great Oaks Retirement Center. In reference to the complainant advising that they need a report due to the latch on their hood broke causing damage to their vehicle.
Hit & Run – W Spring St. Taco Bell in reference to a red sedan backing into subjects vehicle and then leaving the scene. Report made.
Dispute – Eagles Tr. In reference to a 12-year-old male being disruptive towards the complainant. Remedies were given. All ok.
Hit and Run – N Broad St. Susie’s Wings. in reference to a white male subject backing his white suburban into subjects green Honda van and then leaving the scene. Report made.
