MPD Reports: Slew of domestic disputes, runaways, evictions and gun threat

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period May 16 – 23, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the fourth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Warrant Service – Rockdale County in reference to transporting subject to the Walton County jail.
  • Dispute – Ash Lane: During a domestic dispute Dustin Gunn allegedly pulled a gun on Complainant. The complainant stated that he asked Dustin to get out of his room and at which time he pointed a gun at complainant’s head. He was gone on arrival.  Warrants to be taken.
  • Dispute – Radford Street: Complainant on scene disputing with brother over bird bath. Situation mediated.
  • Dispute – Southview Dr. property dispute between two individuals.  The situation was mediated.
  • Civil Issue – Tanglewood Dr; Complainant reported a female on location attempting to enter the residence to retrieve property. The female is in the process of being evicted tomorrow but is still legally a tenant.
  • Suspicious Person – Southside Mobile Home Park area in reference to a male riding a bicycle in the roadway without proper equipment. He was advised of the proper equipment he needed and sent on his way.
  • Suicide – Carver Pl. in reference complainant wanting to kill herself with a knife.  The subject did not have any weapon upon police arrival and was transported to the Hospital by EMS.
  • Agency Assist – Cook St. in reference to checking on a runaway at this location for Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.  Negative Contact.
  • Civil Matter – S. Madison Ave. Complainant requested a report in reference to his landlord having changed the locks to his residence over the weekend. No eviction paperwork has been filed according to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office. Remedies were advised. Report taken.
  • Domestic – Landers St. in reference to subjects actively fighting in the front yard. Officers made contact with two individuals. Both subjects denied a physical altercation taking place and stated it was verbal only. One was served with a criminal trespass warning and left the area. Report taken.
  • Sexual Assault – Breedlove Drive – Ridgeview in reference to a sexual assault that allegedly occurred in December 2018.
  • Theft – Booth Dr. in reference to complainant reporting her son’s Xbox One and Reebok Tennis shoe stolen from the residence. The complainant was unable to provide a serial number for the missing items. Report taken.
  • Dispute – G.W. Carver. In reference to runaway juvenile out of Winder. Family member reported seeing him there.  The alleged runaway was not showing on GCIC.  The family member was advised to follow up with Winder and obtain custody paperwork as well.
  • Follow up – Nowell St. Ref to theft of a handgun from day shift call. Gun recovered.
  • Damage to property – Carver Place. The complainant advised multiple juveniles have been damaging her vehicle. She could not provide evidence to identify the individuals. Report taken
  • Suspicious Person – E. Church St., Chestnut Cupboard. Employee advised b/m twins on location panhandling and selling drugs. GOA. Ken advised of criminal trespass notice procedures.
  • Dispute – Lanius Ave. Dispute between unknown male and complainant.
  • Dispute – Pierce St. in reference to a subject and her mother getting into arguments. The subject went to stay with her father for the rest of the week.
  • Dispute – Tall Oaks East. Two subjects got into a verbal argument over living arrangements. Situation resolved. Report taken
  • Warrant attempt – Highway 78, Walton Truck Stop. Steven T. Whitlock arrested for Probation violation out of Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Follow-Up – Cook St. in reference to checking juvenile on GCIC as a runaway juvenile. The subject is not a runaway and is with his mother. All ok.
  • Damage to Property – N. Broad St. – Golden Pantry in reference to complainant reporting damage to her 2013 Ford Fusion. She stated she struck a pothole in the road while getting onto Highway 78 E. bound from N. Broad St. Report taken.
  • Lost Item – Carwood Dr. in reference to complainant reporting the tag missing from her trailer. Report taken.
