MPD Reports: Slew of entering auto complaints; man charged after shots fired in parking lot

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Dec. 12 – 18, 2025. Due to the length, this report has been split into three parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

• Accident – Old Mill Point – 2 vehicle accident with no injuries, Gears report
• Entering Auto – 6th St – Vehicle unlocked but nothing taken. Report completed.
• Entering Auto – 6th St – Vehicle unlocked but nothing taken. Report taken.
• Entering Auto – Bridgeport Place – In reference to a Toyota Camry that was entered missing a set of golf clubs. Report taken.
• Entering Auto – Bridgeport Place – In reference to a Jeep with an open door and cut soft top that appeared to be entered. Negative contact with the owner.
• Entering Auto – Bridgeport Place – Vehicle possibly unlocked per owner. A 20 gauge shotgun was taken (serial number unknown). Report taken.
• Entering Auto – 6th Street; In reference to the complainant reporting two vehicles entered overnight. Report Taken.
• 911 Hang Up – Great Oaks Drive; Static on the line on call back. Call cleared due to substantial history.
• Entering Auto – Bridgeport Place – In reference to items taken and left behind in a mustang passenger car.
• Shoplifting – West Spring Street – In reference to a male subject shoplifting on location. The subject was gone upon arrival. Staff advised he threw the item back in the store prior to leaving. Declined report.
• Civil Dispute – Harris St – Civil dispute between husband and wife. Wife was upset that husband was just sitting on the couch. There is an extensive history at the location for mental health issues. No crime occurred and advised both parties on remedies.
• Vehicle Accident – Alcovy Street; In reference to a single vehicle accident versus a pole with injuries. GEARS report taken.
• Suspicious Activity – Pavilion Pkwy (Five Below) – Complainant advised the store received a counterfeit ten dollar bill. I examined the bill and held it to be a true ten dollar bill. She tried it in two different machines which both stated the bill was legal tender.
• Shoplifting – W Spring Street: Walmart – In reference to a female being apprehended by Loss Prevention for Shoplifting. She was arrested and transported to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office Jail without incident.
• Welfare Check – Ridge Rd – In reference to a Welfare check on subject. Negative Contact
• Civil Dispute – Breedlove Dr – Female with mental health issues walked away from Ridgeview Institute outpatient building after having an argument with another patient. The female is not under 10-13 orders and stays in a local group home. She is taken to the facility daily. The female requested to be transported to Piedmont Walton reference a hurt knee that occurred several days ago. The caretaker was on scene and clear that she was being transported. 1096 data report and report completed.
• Fraud – South Broad St @ Pinnacle Bank; In reference to an unknown black male on location uttering a fraudulent check and possessing a fraudulent driver’s license. Report taken.
• Residential Alarm – Meadow Walk Dr – All doors and windows secured.
• Trailer Inspection – Glenwood Drive – Owner was able to affix a vin plate to the trailer. Trailer inspection form completed.
• Suicidal Threats – Glennwod Dr- Subject on location wanting to hurt herself. Turned over to Walton EMS.
• Found Property – Double Springs Church Rd: YMCA – In reference to a used needle located near the building. It was collected and destroyed.
• Abandoned Vehicle – Garden Ct – Vehicle left in driveway from former tenants. The complainant attempted many times to get them to get the vehicle but they stated they did not want it. The vehicle has been sitting for quite some time. Not reported stolen on NCIC/GCIC. The complainant just wanted to cover herself and is contacting private tow company.
• Area Check – Baker St – Complainant requested an area check of her home due to ex-bf stating he was going to come over. The male was not at the location and spoke with the female about remedies.
• Accident – W Spring St; Boost Mobile – Two vehicle accident on private property with no injuries. GEARS report completed.
• Other Law – Bridgeport Pl – In reference to child custody paperwork issues. Parties were advised to contact an attorney with any further need for legal advice.
• Other Law – Bulldog Drive GWA – In reference to complainant requesting a report due to her believing that the school did not handle a situation correctly last date where her son was injured.
• Shots Fired – Publix – In reference to a male discharging his handgun in the parking lot. Units responded and no injuries were reported or property damage observed. The subject was arrested and charged with: Reckless conduct x 3, Cruelty to a Child in the 2nd x 2, Possession of a Firearm During the commission x 2, and Discharging a Firearm on Private Property.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Wheel House Ln. In reference to white Kia Optima doing doughnuts in the area. Negative contact made.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Maple Lane- In reference to an unoccupied vehicle parked in the complainants private property parking spot. Remedies advised.
• Vehicle Unlock – Remedy Tattoo: Vehicle unlocked. No damage.

• EMS Assist – GW Carver – In reference to an unconscious female. Turned over to Walton EMS on scene.
• Suspicious Person – Mill Stone Bluff – In reference to a male walking around the residence. The area was checked, negative contact made.
• Dispute – Rose Ison Terrace- In reference to a dispute between male and female subjects. Female was allegedly gone when officers arrived. Upon speaking to other subject he stated that she would not let him sleep and told her to leave. Area checks conducted, negative contact with Female.
• Residential Alarm – Breedlove Dr – Contact made with the homeowner, all appeared ok.
• Foot Patrol – Fambrough St – Concentrated foot patrol in the area of Bridgeport, Douglas St, Mathis St, and South Broad in reference to recent entering autos.
• Firearms – In reference to an individual brandishing a firearm at another driver. Contact was made, All OK.
• 911 Hang Up – Rose Ison- Contact was made, All OK.

• Vehicle Lockout – S BROAD ST: Vehicle unlocked with no damage.
• Dispute – Roosevelt Dr – In reference to a verbal dispute over complainant fixing a car. Remedies advised to the complainant.
• Hit and Run – N Broad St. – Two-vehicle crash with no injuries that occurred on N Broad St. between the Hwy 78 Bridge and Church’s Chicken. At-fault-driver continued southbound through downtown until a traffic stop was conducted. The female subject was placed under arrest for hit-and-run, fingerprinted, and released with a copy of her citation. GEARS report.
• Burglary in Progress – Tall Oaks West – In reference to an unknown male being seen in a unit that was supposed to be vacant. Unit was searched by K9 and Officers. Negative contact.
• Theft Report – Roosevelt Dr – In reference to complainant’s brother in Decatur, having his social security check stolen. The complainant was advised to bring the brother to Monroe to file report.
• Vehicle Crash – Bold Springs Ave & N Broad St. – Two-vehicle crash with no injuries. GEARS report.
• Vehicle Unlock – W Spring St.; Quality Foods – Vehicle unlocked without damage.
• Foot Patrol- Downtown – In reference to a female asking for money from businesses. She was warned and sent on her way.
• Mechanical Breakdown – West Spring/White Oak Lane – Officer observed a broken down vehicle. Vehicle was towed by Taylors.
• Vehicle Crash – S Wayne St at W Spring St – Two vehicle crash with no injuries. Report in GEARS.
• Vehicle Accident – N Madison AVE at E Spring St – Two vehicle accident with no injuries. See GEARS report.
• Suicide Attempt – Breedlove Dr; Ridgeview – In reference to a 14-year-old juvenile being brought in after taking an unknown amount of Tylenol. Scene was turned over to Walton EMS.
• Vehicle Crash – W Spring St. & Hwy 138 – Two-vehicle crash with no injuries. GEARS report.
• Alarm – Breedlove Ct. – Homeowner on location, all okay.
• Illegal Dumping – Harris St – In reference to illegal dumping in complainants dumpster. Remedies advised.
• Welfare Check – Reed Way – In reference to making contact with subject. No one on location, neighbors advised they had not seen her this date and her vehicle was gone.
• EMS Assist – W Marable St – In reference to EMS assist, female was gone when officers arrived.
• Vehicle Lockout – East Marable Street – Call canceled prior to arrival.
• Fraud – Ash St- In reference to complainant’s credit card being used at Five Guys. Contact made with the offender who was taken into custody and transported to the Walton County Jail without incident.
• 911 Hang Up – Mears Street – All ok on location.
• Mental Patient – Stokes St. – In reference to subject having a mental crisis. Subject did not express a desire to harm herself or others. Possible remedies (Piedmont, Co-responder, and Advantage) were offered but declined.
• Domestic Dispute – G W Carver Dr. – In reference to complainant reporting that Subject had pepper-sprayed her and punched her in the face during a dispute. Subject was gone when officers arrived. Warrant to be taken.
• Accident – Double Springs Church Rd-Private property accident. Gears report.
• Accident – MLK Jr Blvd / Walmart – Two vehicles with minor damage, no injuries. GEARS Report completed.
• Suspicious Person – N. Broad St. – In reference to a complainant calling in stating that a male subject was sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot of the City Hall, who appeared to have a bulletproof vest on and a mask. The subject was ID, and he was having car problems, not a bulletproof vest on. All units return to service.
• Accident – MLK Jr Blvd / Hwy 78 E on Ramp – Two vehicles, injuries by complaint. GEARS report completed.
• Firearms – Belle Meade Rd – In reference to the complainant hearing approximately 7 gunshots in the area. The areas of Belle Meade, Wellington Manor and Golf view were checked. All appeared ok.
• Unknown problem – GW Carver Dr – In reference to a male subject calling 911 and asking for help. Residence was searched, no contact was made with the caller.
• 911 Hang-Up – Highland Creed Dr. – All was okay on location, child playing on phone. Follow Up – Pilot Park. Related to previous call. All ok.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Hampton Dr – In reference to observing a Chevy SUV, parked in the cul- de-sac, with a registration that came back to Greensboro. Contact was made with the resident at the closest residence, who advised it was his family’s vehicle. All ok.
• Suspicious vehicle – Michael Circle – The Vehicle was parked in a dark area of the roadway. It was occupied by a male and a female. One subject was a resident of Evergreen Estates and the other was his girlfriend. They were advised to move on after being identified.
• Traffic Stop/Arrest – HWY 78 EB – Marable St Bridge – The vehicle was stopped for an equipment violation. After investigation, the driver was taken into custody for defective equipment, Possession of Schedule II (X3), drugs to be kept in original container, and warrants out of East Point Police Department. He was transported to the WCSO jail without incident. Report and warrants taken.
• Suspicious Person – W. Fambrough St – His Glory Apparel Theft Store – Subject was digging through the dumpster. Subject was identified and released from location.
• Mechanical Breakdown – Cherry Hill RD & HWY 78 – In reference to a tractor trailer out of service in the roadway. Negative contact, Vehicle was gone when officers arrived.
• Warrant – Alcovy St -In reference to assisting the probation office for an arrest of a female subject who violated her probation. She was taken into custody without incident, placed handcuffs behind her back, checked for fit, double locked, searched, and placed into the back of my patrol vehicle. I transported her to the Walton County Jail where I turned custody over to the deputies.
• 10-15 – Amber Trail – In reference to a burglary in progress. The house was secured, all doors and windows locked. Complainant / Neighbor advised she saw a male leave the residence and travel through the woods behind the house into a camper. Contact was made with subject who stated he was only over there to get spigot water. Subject was told not to enter the curtilage / use their water. All OK.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Unisia Dr – Contact made with subject, per the business they requested him to leave the property
• Harassment – Rosewood Lane – In reference to the complainant believing her roommates husband has photos of her on his phone. At the time of the call there was no evidence of this. Report taken.
• Wanted Person – Alcovy St – Female subject taken into custody for a probation warrant and turned over to WCSO.
• Vehicle Crash – Hwy 138; Chick-fil-A – Two-vehicle private property crash with no injuries. GEARS report.
• Vehicle Crash – Church St at S Broad: No injuries, see GEARS.
• Dispute – Colquitt St- Complainant having issues with neighbor at E Church St. The neighbor’s landscapers are blowing leaves into his yard and leaving them. Advised of remedies.
• Vehicle Unlock – Rose Ison Ter. – Vehicle was unlocked with no new damage done. All OK.
• Accident w/E-bike – Baron Dr and E Church St subject hit on e-bike by vehicle. Due to unknown injuries, accident turned over to Georgia State Patrol.
• Suspicious Vehicle / Drag Racing – HWY 78 east bound – Contact was made with 1⁄2 of the vehicles reported. Advised driver not to drag race / watch his speed. No solidified evidence on 10-94.
• Shots Fired – Area of Davis St- Area checked no contact
• Civil Issue – Ridge Rd – In reference to complainant advising subject was not willing to put her dog down. Complainant was advised of the eviction process.
• 911 Hang Up – Harris St – In reference to complainant calling 911 stating her husband needs EMS. All was okay on location.
• Disabled Vehicle – Hwy 78 EB / N Broad Exit Ramp – In reference to a Ford Escape on the side of the roadway. Contact was made with the owner, who advised they would have roadside send a tow truck to remove it. All ok.
• Suspicious Vehicle – Breedlove Dr; Athens Geriatrics & Internal Medicine – In reference to a Toyota Avalon on location after business hours. The vehicle was found to be unoccupied. All appeared ok.
• Trespassing – N Madison Ave; The Market – The subject was gone when officers arrived. The complainant was advised to contact law enforcement when the subject returns to the store, and that we could then file a criminal trespass report against the subject.
• Safety Check – Walker Dr. – Safety check conducted at Walker Dr. before Alcovy St. Alarm – Cherry Hill Rd. – Walton Logistics- All appeared to be okay on location.
• Alarm – Michael Cir – Contact was made with the resident. The residence was checked on foot; all appeared okay.
• Suspicious Person – Kingsridge Dr – In reference to observing a male standing in the driveway of the residence, in front of the garage door. Due to the time of day, and it was actively raining, an attempt to speak with the subject was made to ensure no criminal activity was afoot, (entering auto, burglary). He advised that he was a guest at the residence and began walking to the rear of the residence. The resident came out of the residence and advised that all was ok, that the subject was his best friend.
• Vehicle Unlock – Rosewood Ln – Vehicle unlocked no damage.
• Dispute – Ridge Rd – In reference to subject speaking in tongues and getting in the face of the complainant’s niece. Due to a large call volume at the house for non-criminal matters, all residents were warned for improper use of 911.
