MPD Reports: Snake in a home, juveniles shoot up vehicle with BB gun

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Nov. 28 to Dec. 5, 2019. Due to the length, this was split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Music Complaint – Walker Dr. in reference to loud music coming from a vehicle. Contact made with residents and the music was turned down. 
  • Wanted Person – West Spring Street in reference to a Randall Jesse Smith was about to get out of the hospital and has a warrant out of Rockdale County. Upon Officers arrival, Randall was at Piedmont hospital in Athens.
  • Theft – E. Spring St. (LR Burger): Complainant stated that a named suspect took approximately $30 dollars out of the tip jar. He was gone when officers arrive. The complainant declined a report at this time. The complainant wants a Criminal Trespass to be issued if the subject can be located.
  • Suicide Threats – E. Spring St.t at Hubbard Street in reference to subject wanting a ride to the hospital in reference to thoughts of harming herself. The subject was transported and turned over to Piedmont Walton.
  • Suspicious Person – W. Spring St. (Piedmont Walton) Complainant stated they had a subject who has been discharged and keeps coming back into the hospital. The subject has someone coming to get him in approximately 30 minutes from Winder.
  • Assist Officer – Church St. – Transported a subject to the City of Monroe Police Department.
  • Dispute – Lacy St. in reference to complainant disputing with her grandson over breaking the living room TV. The grandson was gone on arrival.
  • Fight – Harris Str. and Davis – In reference to subjects fighting in the street. Subjects dispersed upon arrival.
  • Threats – Tall Oaks W. – In reference to complainants’ ex-boyfriend sending threatening texts. Report taken.
  • Domestic Dispute – Plaza Dr.; Subject was arrested for battery Family Violence Act after a dispute with his wife.
  • Dispute – E. Fambrough St; Complainant left the scene prior to Officer arrival. Subjects on scene stated the argument never turned physical.
  • Juvenile problem – Towler St.; Juvenile on location arguing with his parents. The situation was mediated.
  • Damage to property – Tall Oaks E.; In reference to several juveniles shooting the complainant’s vehicle with a BB gun. Juveniles were identified and two BB guns were taken into evidence. The criminal Investigation Division was notified.
  • Unknown – Spring St. Laundry Mat; In reference to an “unconscious” person in front of the door. Contact was made with a pile of clothes in the shape of a person.
  • Civil Dispute – Tall Oaks E. in reference to subject retrieving property from this residence where she lived with her daughter. Some of her items were placed on the back porch and the subject wants a report due to the items possibly being rained on. The subject also advised that she has a washing machine and a dryer inside but was advised of the civil process to retrieve those items. Report Made.
  • Animal Complaint – Pannell Rd. – In reference to a dog with bite marks coming to complainants’ home. The animal turned over to Animal Control.
  • Burglary Report – E. Church St. in reference to someone entering complainants’ residence through a bedroom window and damaging/taking property. Report made.
  • Animal complaint – Store House Ct. Snake inside home. Snake was recovered and removed from home without incident.
  • Dispute – Atha St. Parties on location still in a verbal dispute while removing things from the house. They were advised to leave each other alone.
